Seriously, though, I think I'd want to be a video game writer, which is what I'm planning to do.
Edit: By writer, I mean dealing with story, not a programmer.
As someone who is currently behind writing a story for a game (Characters, setting, plot, etc etc.) as well as parts of the script, let me tell you it's alot of fun. However, i will give you two pieces of advice.
1. ALWAYS have more then one person check your work. Trust me, what might look good to you may end up looking terrible to others. Besides, it's always good to have other opinions and you might even end up with some good idea's coming from them too. Not saying don't get creative, but it never hurts to have someone check something..especially when you're essentially the only writer.
2. Check for plot holes and make sure things flow smoothly. I probably shouldn't have to say this one but, you'd honestly be surprised how many people have written works that just jump around, leave unresolved plot threads hanging (And not for sequel purposes), or literally flow terribly. Can't say you can't leave things open for possible sequels, but it never hurts to make sure things which are built up as important aren't just completely abandoned and forgotten about right?
Anyway, that's my two cents and while i know you didn't ask for any advice..well, we're both budding writers so it never hurts to have someone give pointers sometimes now does it? ^^
