The last episode to both Dragonball z. and Dragonball GT. I was so disappointed. I felt so defeated about the terrible anti-climax that they both left. I can understand Dragonball z. But Dragonball GT had no excuse. What kind of an ending was that!? You just cast aside all the heroes for a new generation that we barely know. And then Goku is there and does that whole thing where he just walks off. You can't introduce new characters 5 seconds before the freaking end, IT LEAVES TOO MANY QUESTIONS! It's not a cliffhanger, it's damned unfair.

School Days. I was promised that people would get brutally murdered, and it took me three episodes to come to dislike every single fucking character in that series. And I had to watch the entire thing, including a horrible plot, sucky-ass drama and the mentioned completely unlikable characters before two of the characters ended up dying. Waste of my time, and the last time I bothered watching anime.

edit: also any series that were textbook examples of the Dragon Ball syndrome*, i.e. Shaman King and Bleach primarily.

*the major symptom is that everyone and their dog can do the "ultimate supermegatechniques" from the former story arc in their sleep, lesser symptoms including former bad guys turning out to join the good guys and the story completely stopping to give a damn about charm and humor to show more superskills and drama.

L dying. I lost all interest after that.
Me too. I tought it would be the epic conlusion, but no we
get a white-haired L wannabe and an Orange haired annoying twat ... I stopped watching Death Note about after 3 episodes in season 2

Other than that ... Well Highschool of the Dead was rather dissapointing in the sense that at one moment it had way, WAAAAY to much fanservice ... don't get me wrong, I love the nurse's giant mellons, but I would like to see some zombie-killing ... ya know ... it's in the name ... Highschool of the DEAD

Oh and the fight between Naruto and Pain was such a letdown ... I never saw it through, I only saw a few pics of the god-awful animation ...

My only disappointment is that some series last way too long with filler and what not, while other series mostly get 25-50 episodes plus some OVAs.

It seems like ever anime based weekly shonen jump lasts way too long or is prolonged by so much filler.

While a series like Soul Eater is over unless they made a second season

Too many flashbacks. Flasbacks is a good thing to use in order to remind the audience what happend earlier. But sometimes, there are just too many of the sameflashbacks used so many times in the same episode that you eventually learn them by heart. This is the biggest reason why I stoppet watching animes like Naruto, where there was so, many, boring flashbacks showed all the time.

Akira was the anime I was introduced to originally and I couldn't get through it. I even tried again later after having watched ones I enjoyed like Ninja Scroll and Death Note...but it remains unwatchable. I've yet to see how it ends, and never plan to.

-Yosuga no Sora. Beautiful OST (for the anime anyway) but the story for 3 of the 4 arcs were very much lackluster, if not laughable. Sora Arc was pretty okay though. If anything, the story for Sora's arc should've just taken the entire show, because everything else was just a joke.

-Infinite Stratos. Charlotte's Arc had a great story behind it, and if they'd based an entire show around that (with many edits as to how it happened, of course) then it could've been better.

-Seitokai no Ichizon. Started out as a hilarious comedy, but in Studio Deen fashion, the comedy died out after ep 6.

-Umineko. Studio Deen. Guess how well they adapted this one.
LOL my friend cant stop talking about yosuga no sora and by the sora arc do you mean his actual sister? Cuz everyone tells me that arc was crap (well basically all the arcs are stupid)

Yeah I agree with infinite stratos, it was a cute anime with cool looking mechs but charlotte made it cool and wished there was more of her. Still cant wait for season 2 and hopefully more screen time for her.

And I loved seitokai no ichizon for the sole reason that the main guy WANTED a harem and took charge.
1) Yes, I meant the Arc with his sister. It had a...more reasonable story than any of the other arcs in that show. It was also long enough for there at least to be some sort of development, and it felt more natural than most of the other arcs. And on a more perverse note, the sex was the most fitting in this arc and did cause me to crack up like with the other arcs.

2) IS is a lost cause because they know people are just going to buy into it for the harem, so all they'll do is just prolong the haremtrocity while putting in weak plot devices like they did with the last 3 eps of the season. I think reading some Doujinshi would be much more worth your time if you want to see more Charlotte.

3) That is very true, which was part of it's charm, but if it had kept the comedy up as well, it would've been perfect. Maybe. Not sure. Hope that Season 2 will make up for that.

And long time no see ;)

The biggest dissapointment of ALL time in anime? Two things spring to mind instantly!
1. There was a second season of Kuroshitsuji, you don't continue that which is finished.
2. Air Gear not getting a second season and then throwing out that poor exuse of an OVA.

Edit: Now that I think about it Persona: Trinity Soul comes tingeling up in the back of my head. Good lord the dissapoint! Make it stop!

Ergo Proxy and naruto are the biggest for me.
I plan to give Ergo another go but at around episode 7 It was just to dull and uneventful to accompany the grim design.

Naruto up to the Rock Lee vs Gaara fight (which is one of the best fights i have ever seen) after that (sasuke vs naruto) which is like three episode filled with Nauro going "Sasuke why did you do evilish shit" and then Sasuke going "I hate everyone" then they move close punch each other once and then it repeats

Off Topic: I played mystical ninja staring Goemon and I learnt to read Sasuke's names as Sas-ook and this has caused me to always have a hard time spelling Sasuke from Naruto XD

Kinda why I stopped watching anime unless it's a 14-26 episode long self contained story.

It's like the things were built to disappoint or simply last so long you outgrow them. I have seriously aged my way out of a couple series.
Couldn't agree more with you, pal.

There are quite few-

1 The mangaka to Hunter X Hunter gotten ill so he doesn't make new chapter as much as he used to. This in turn led to his anime abrupt ending with no closure unless you know what happen in the manga. It was a shame since if it had continued it would probably in the same spotlight to Naruto, Bleach and One Piece in terms of being a long series.

2 The current state of Bleach, too much fillers and inconsistencies.

3 How Soul Eater abrupt ended. I hoping they would receive the same treatment to FMA Brotherhood (make a new series that continue where the anime left off before doing it own thing).

4 How Code Geass R2 ended. I won't go into details in my view I dislike the ending.

5 That episode in Naruto Shipudden with Pein vs Naruto in demon fox 8 tail state (you know which one I'm talking about). There is a difference between how it intended to be done and doing it properly for christ sake!

Hahaha, god do I love those giant robot fights. We need something like that in todays games! People with crazy ass haircuts fighting aliens invading in a giant peach spaceship, can it actually get more awsome than that?

The worst things;
1) Those character archetypes... you know, the big-breasted shy girl, the flat-chested hyperactive/high energy girl, the loveable ditz, the smart one. It's like a friggin' boy-band. It really robs the characters (and the shows that use these) of any true character development.
2) Fan-service. Stuff like panty shots or still-frame "uahh" scenes that serve no other purpose other than to satisfy the demand of fan-boys who ask for them.
3) Motionless animation. You know, when NOTHING is moving except one persons mouth. Everyone stops blinking
4) Flashbacks. Or flashback episodes designed specifically to show you clips from previous episodes. Either the person watching the show will already know these things or a person who stumbles onto the episode won't care. It's a lose-lose thing to have.
5) Harem themes. The idea that 3~5 different women would fight over one loser. The new girl, the old-girl-next-door, the cousin/relative but-not-blood-related (or sometimes are), the 'I hate him but I need his attention'/'I secretly like him but I act like I do not), and the secret-crush/crush that cannot confess. It may have been interesting ONCE, but there are SO MANY animes that are JUST THIS. Character development is nonexistent. Probably the worst anime has to offer.

Also, #5 usually comes in the variety of #1. So it's twice as bad except it sometimes has #2 in it too. They all have #3.

Filler's pretty bad but some anime (the one-season only types) don't usually have them. It's only the story-driven ones (Naruto, Dragonball Z).
