I'm probably one of the few on this thread to have an actual professional IQ test and it waaaaaaaas:

Inconclusive. I scored above 140 in one section and in the low 130's in another section and apparently they couldn't reconcile the two. Besides, it's probably artificially low because I didn't take my ADD meds that day... and I didn't have a hearty breakfast... besides I was cold... and it was the wrong phase of the moon.

Online tests I've taken have usually pegged me around 140.

Varied between 115 and 130. Irrelevant as IQ tests are meaningless. I've seen high IQ scores on plenty of worthless people, and they only test one kind of "intelligence" ignoring the others. It will tell you if your kid is seriously mentally handicapped, but you could probably tell that without a test.

I tested 165, but that was way back when I was 15 (by a psychiatrist and not some web questionnaire, tyvm). I've got a feeling I've suffered a sort of mental atrophy (don't ask) since then... so who knows? I've never taken them seriously, just always viewed them more as a gauge for potential rather than of capability.

To be honest, my concern is the opposite - that every time you're got at something, it's called intelligence. Like good eyesight being named "optical inteeligence" or a beuatiful voice being "audial intelligence" and so on. Also, I think we all have to admit that all other things being equal, it's better to have a high I.Q. than to have a low one.

Is the answer 146? If so, it only took me 25 seconds. Is that particularly good?

i think you may have made some small error, 2+3=5, 5*2=10 right? 8+4=12, 12*8=96. 6+3=9, 9*6=56.

9+7=16, 16*9=144. as long as you applied that rule then you got it right, and if thats the case then your smarter than i am, it only took my mate tom 5 seconds though, i couldn't believe it.

Oh yeah. lolz. somehow i got 146 out of 90+54. Don't ask how i did that. But hoorah I got the idea. sweet. And 5 seconds is wicked fast.
