While I've always found it difficult to dislike a game with full fanboy-proof flameshield ready for action I'm going to say Mass Effect.

Right now I'm currently borrowing it from a friend in exchange for my beloved copy of the orange box and I actually asked him today if I can give him back mass effect in exchange for something else. Now I've always loved games that are rather grindy because there's normally enough action (I.e Borderlands) or enough variety (I.e World of Warcraft) to keep it interesting and Jade Empire is one of my favourite games (The relevance is that Bioware made both Mass Effect and Jade Empire). But in this case I just do not care what happens to my generic party members, the oh-so intense intergalactic laser rifle battles with evil robots are more boring than watching paint dry, the story is INCREDIBLY lax, I feel less like a fantastic spaceman on a quest to save the universe and more like kind old sergeant Shepard keeping robotic riff-raff out of galactic super-happy-ville.
I'm not going to flame you, since I understand where you're coming from. The Citadel is boring as shit. But I think this games story arc is much like the print LotR. The 100-page opening Shire section? That's the Citadel. It serves to heap lots of backstory on, but the pacing is wonky. Trust me, the last third of Mass effect makes up for it. If you haven't met Sovereign yet, I'd stick with it. If so, then the game isn't for you.

Animal Crossing is the most evil game I've ever seen. It's just so pointless.

I have no idea what Heavy Rain is outside of a few videos. To me it looks like an interactive movie, or a Guinness World Records attempt at most QTEs in a game.
That would be Guitar Hero.
Not even going to attempt to feed this troll.
Definition of QTE.
Press the correct sequence of buttons within a timer to advance.
Incorrect buttons results in failure.

Guinness World Record goes to...
Incorrect, a QTE is a sequence of buttons to preform actions that are executed by the player.

Also, guitar hero doesn't tell you which buttons to press, it gives you 5 bars that correspond to certain keys, but every time that one of those keys are required to be pressed, guitar hero doesn't not flash "press x button to hold down x chord" on your screen.

Bah, i told myself i wasn't feeding it; i have failed the internet once again.

I have a few, I loathed Mass Effect probably the most boring game I have ever played, but personally I don't think Bioware has come up with a good idea since KoTOR. Di I even need to say Halo? Then I bought Halo 2 and knew that nothing good can come of this. Hated Turning Point, more recently Borderlands which threatened Mass Effect for my most boring top game. Guess that is it, for now anyway. lol
I still consider Turning Point to be vastly, vastly underrated, and unfairly crucified.

The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age

Never have I played a game that takes something I love so much and twisted it into the most boring, grindtastic piece of crap with such an uninteresting, non-conclusive, and nonsensicle Big Lipped Aligator Moment of an ending I have ever seen!

I will, because I hate GH and all the spinoffs. I've seen people that have dumped YEARS into that game and are so, so good at it...and the thing is, the thought that digs at me about that is: "why not just get a real guitar? you're so good, so why are you rocking out on a piece of frickin plastic??"

I mean hell, worst case scenario the kid pours all that time and effort into a musical instrument and plays covers for the rest of his life, he's still probably gonna end up in a band. Put that talent to use!

Halo 3: ODST. That game sucked major arse.

Either that or Mirror's Edge. I borrowed it from a friend who was raving on about it saying it was amazing...no. It isn't. It's utterly shite. I've never before or since played such a lame or cheap game.

Xenogears. Typical response to this from my wife is "Well I don't like your face but I still put up with it, so why didn't you like Xenogears?"
I was alright with it for a while, I enjoyed the mecha-battles (Kind of felt like Gundam) and the store was ok, a little over dramatized at points but everything was going decently until it had me insert the second disk. The difference between where the story left off in disc one and where it picked up in the very next disc was so drastic that I thought their might have been a missing disc or something. Like some how the American version had to be so censored that they just threw out the second disk and gave us the abbreviated third disk or something.

Final Fantasy X. It destroyed my love for Square and really made me start questioning JRPGs in general. Nothing about that game is even remotely salvageable.

FF7 was magnificent. FF8 had a paper-thin story with terrible writing and awful characters, but decent enough gameplay. FF9 was a step backwards in development. FFX was awful in every conceivable way. FFX-2 is an abomination unto the Lord, and it must be purified with a holy fire.

Hmm, probably Juiced 2. I'm a big fan of the racing games (except the boring ones like Nascar or that new one everyones on about, Grand Turismo 5 or something), and that was a total let down. Or Midnight Club 3... cmon, console exclusive?! Pricks.

The argument wasn't whether or not guitar hero is a good series of games or not (i lost interest in them after II), the argument was whether guitar hero was a sequence of quick time events or not.

This is a gripe I hear constantly from FF fans. Only VII seems to reach the consensus of being good. Sooooo... why keep buying it, considering it's 6 (terrible) instalments in?

Ico - - - I have Vietnam like flash backs when the name is brought up but I vaguely remember something about deaf/mute girl who could follow me on a ledgee.
