The ability to create and destroy clones of myself instantly.
Think about it. School time, go to class, and stay at home.
It would act exactly as you would, and you could switch between them, and you'd get all the memories once you destroy them.

In my opinion this is one of the biggest flaws in traditionally depicted super fast heroes. They perceive reality at the same speed as everyone else. This simply could not work. They would need to live a lifetime in the time we lived a few days. If they could run at the speed of light they would live the equivalent many lifetimes (I cant remember exactly how many) while we all lived just one
I personally thought that such Heroes (Say, Quicksilver) hastened all of their metabolic processes, speeding up their ability to perceive reality as they did the rest of their body. I mean, it was never stated, but it let me get to sleep at night without worrying about illogical powers. Because, oh GOD, I have spent nights doing that. Usually nights before tests.

OP: My power? Immortality- whether by consciousness-transferrals to my reincarnated body, or ordinary lack of aging- is the power I've wanted since I first realised that death was inevitable, way back in Year 1.

The ability to change the density and composition of my skin reflexively. Need to travel a long distance? Reduce weight and then jump, turning to metal when I want to land. Someone trying to shoot me? Increase density to bulletproof levels. Strength and speed fall in line.

I'll take the Spectre's superpowers with none of the responsibilities please.

1. An IQ beyond the highest possible constraints, able to process every little bit of information and convert it to a simple level, mostly for use in combat and such. Imagine being able to predict the path of every single bullet, punch, blade, or other weapon before the battle even starts.
Limits: Bad relationships.
If you are that smart then you should be able to calculate and navigate through any problems she might cause and if you get tired of being smarter then you can just rationalize using your super IQ.

The ability to destroy the bone in the inner ear that controls a person's sense of balance and the ability to see weak points in general (IE walls, bodies, cars). I would destroy my enemies sense of balance or have their car fall apart around them and worse.

'Blink' or instant, short-range teleportation.

Short range, or 'line-of-sight' teleportation. Basically, like Nightcrawler. But without being blue. And the tail.

I think a few people aren't taking the time to read the first post. They think that their power has to have a limitation, but that's not what I said.

By "limitation", I just ment limiting choices to powers other than Mental, Time, and Reality.

Reading is fun, people.

But as someone noted on page 1, these superheroes still get hit by things like bullets. In reality, if they could move and perceive at near the speed of light, they would be able to feel or possibly even see, the vibrations of these objects either through the air or the moment it connected, and then simply move out of the way, and thus not get hit.

Oh and my power breaks physics more than a real life copy/cut/paste function, or becoming a living stone at will and turning back, to perceive anywhere, presumably in the universe without being there or being made out of marshmallows.

Im claiming discrimination >.<
Discrimination?[spit] you speedsters deserve it [/spit]
What's wrong with the physics behind my Temperature control skill?
energy can be produced and destroyed easily and in infinite amounts, right?

(although it could be argued I'm altering, somehow, the vibrational rate of the sub-plank strings of string theory fame rather than creating and destroying energy :p)

You mean apart from the fact that to be the source of such an intense temperature you blood would either freeze or boil respectively?

I don't know if this counts against your rules, but the ability to clone anything I have ever touched. And I would clone tons of food and bring it to third world countries and eat it in front of them! yay! SUPERVILLIANS RULE!

slowing down time
at least this is what it would appear like to me, this actually would me able to move very fast for a few seconds. limit: i have to wait twice the amount of time a used it before i can use it again or i pass out

or

manipulating gravity
take away the existing gravity for an object and replace it with a new one so i could make stuff float and shot cars at helicopters. limit: the amount of time i need to focus on an object is directly proportional to the mass of said object so i can make a pencil float almost immediately but need several minutes to lift a house

Imagine taking your paycheck, cashing it, and using copy/paste on your wad of cash? $100 can become $10,000 very quickly...
Yeah, but all the serial numbers would be the same and police would not like you spreading that money :(

I would probably go for the telekinesis, although the double-jump makes a strong case.

I would normally take telekinesis. With it I can fly and pick up heavy objects to pummel my enemies and I could make a shield around myself. But I'll be a little more creative, I would like the power of shield projection/manipulation. It's a good defense and if used correctly, offense. I could create spear-like shields and pierce my enemies, and I could potentially make myself fly my just moving my shield around.

I've become a silicoid life form, in my veins run hydrocarbon oils at intense pressures. this grants me an extremely low freezing point and exceptionally high boiling point. Of course if I ever exceeded my capacity It'd be a spectacular death.

This violates all our know limitations on life. Hydrocarbons alone could not carry the same materials as blood, you would still require organic based living organisms which would still be susceptible to the near absolute zero temperatures you would be generating, thus killing you.

The only thing I can think of is that you would consume hydrocarbons and burn them to maintain your life, but such a being could never be more than a few cells at most giving the limiting factors surrounding the formation of hydrocarbons :p

Plant-controlling powers! I love plants. I'd use my powers to keep my garden healthy despite the southern heat and humidity. I'd have the bitchingest peppers and corn and carrots ever. :D

But the plants don't taste any good.
Just be careful you don't ending up loving plants so much that you think that humanity has to go in order to make way for them, right? Dangerous route, that. :p
I'm not bloody Ra's Al Ghul. XP
