A Hermit's Cave
My avatar, I guess. What better a representation than the personification of death in a graveyard, tired, forlorn and introspective.

It's cliche but the skull, it's like in every game where there's a "death" or "doom" style spell.
You're not the only unless you are thinking of a non human skull?

MY avatar = death for everyone

Seriously - Waking up like everything's normal and getting up to do normal things and not being able to touch anything then noticing my parents crying and seeing my body. Very detailed.

Mine is connected to a lot of nightmares I had as a kid...>_> So yeah, I know it's weird.

A pale faced queen-like figure in black who slowly approaches, slowly transforming into a really messed up looking monster made of shadows before pouncing with a soul shattering wail.

I may have to go with a scythe or death himself. I am not 100% sure, but those seem the closest.

Not always. People got buried alive quite often in the old days. Sometimes they got set free.
Often with brain damage due to lack of oxygen. And thus was born the legend of the zombie.

At least that's what the zombie survival guide says was the start of the myth, anyway. :p

I know if I ever see giant pink floating elephants i'm fucked.

I'll take that as my symbol of death.

For me? It's this...

or this...

or this...

Skeletonwitch's imagery really accurately displays what I consider death to look like.

I didn't say they were fine and without last repercussions. Just that it happened.

A scythe. Nothing fancy, just a simple reaper scythe.
That is a little funny since a <a href=http://medieval.stormthecastle.com/images/polearms/war-scythe.jpg>war scythe is much more practical for killing things. That thing would break once it hit armor.

This one speaks the truth. Observe:

OT: The symbol I associate with death is none other than the Grim Reaper, of course.
