It's nickname is "the big smoke" so you can take a guess but you'd be wrong, we're best known for being rude jerks*.

*By Canadian standards, this means that we're still far more polite than the residents of any American city.

Well technically I live in the capital of Canada( Ottawa) but honestly it's a pretty lame city. We have some government buildings, and that's probably the only thing anyone looks at when they comes here, pretty boring.(although it is nice Neo-Gothic architecture)

EDIT: Forgot we have the riduea(can't spell it) Canal, the longest outdoor skating rink in the world. Yeah, that's just how Canadian we are.

Detroit. Crime, poverty, massive unemployment, crippling depression, substance abuse, high/highest murder rates, being a post-industrial ruin, our shitty football team, home of the best damn hockey team ever.

We used to be known for good paying jobs, The Arsenal of Democracy (our factories won the war for the US), great music, and bad ass muscle cars. Also architecture and boxing.

Is it weird if I hope that one day everyone in the US ends up like us so I can laugh at them? Seriously, fuck the government, fuck the corporations. I hope and pray that one day everyone else can live with something on the scale of the bullshit we were damned to. Just once I want to be the smug bastard looking at someone about to lose everything they own due to unemployment and say, "Gee, shoulda got a different job. Hahaha!"

We're known for being the home of Top Gun, and nothing else. Lemoore, California, which looks for all the world, like Mos Eisley. If there's a bright center to the universe, its the city that its farthest from.

George Street [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Street,_St._John%27s]

It's a largely held belief that George Street has the most bars and pubs per square foot in North America. The George Street festival funs for six days, where they close off the street and you can take your booze from bar to bar and party your arse off. There's also bands all week playing on the bandstand in the middle of the street and they usually manage to get a couple of big name bands to close out the festivities.

The 1917 Revolution, i.e. the founding act of the USSR.

Day of the Revolution in two days, but they've got rid of the holiday. Blasterds.
