What language (if any) did you take in school?

Going into my third year of Mandarin Chinese. I had originally signed up for French but got a "Welcome back to school everyone! Oh btw, your French teacher quit so learn Chinese instead kthnxbai."
Well, it's fun to say the least.

They offered Spanish and French, I took French. I feel like I didn't learn anything but when I look at messages my French friend sends to people on her facebook I understand a lot of it.

Well I was learning Japanese until they cut the program in grade 8.. I think the reason was that no one was taking the subject when they weren't forced to.

Spanish. Most schools teach spanish, and when I lived in Dominican Republic, I had to learn if I wanted to know what people were saying.

I'm teaching myself Japanese now. Most people in real life who know me saw it coming.
