English is my first language, and I can speak relatively fluently in Spanish. I really want to learn Russian though since it sounds cool.

I am surprised to see that so many wants to learn japaness? I thought I was just a weirdo for wanting to learn that...
It's a common desire anywhere people who play videogames and/or enjoy anime congregate. I've never had much of a desire myself, taking all that time just so I could turn subtitles off is silly.

I speak English and I know some Latin, but that's kinda dead nowadays. Just thought I'd mention it.

I'd like to learn Spanish, Russian, and Arabic. Spanish to get paid more as a cop, Russian and Arabic for fun.

I might have a few difficulties in a Spanish speaking country.
I'd love to learn Japanese.

English is my first language, but I can survive by my Spanish. I have a strong interest in learning Japanese (a shocker, I know) and German (greatest swearing language EVER).
I disagree. Hungarian is the best language for swearing in.
I am a native English speaker, I'm decent at Spanish (I can read and write and sorta speak it). I feel like I should learn Chinese, if for no reason other than they're going to own the world in thirty years.

English is my native tongue.

I speak enough German that I could probably get by after a month or so of being in Germany (get the hang of how natives speak it, and pick up on some more vocabulary/grammar stuff I didn't get over my two years). I've studied Latin for two years now (and am doing very well in it- linguam latinam bene dicere possum). I've studied a small bit of Icelandic on the side. Not much, though, not nearly enough to do any translating.

I'd like to study Hungarian (just because it's often rated as the most difficult language for an English speaker to learn (up there with Chinese and Japanese), more difficult than Chinese. Chinese grammar is actually quite simple- it's just the tones for non-native speakers and the writing system that are hard as hell, but past those it's apparently quite simple), Inuktitut, and Old English (because fuck you, possibly useful languages).

I want to learn Faroese. It's been out of use for hundreds of years and has no practical use but it just sounds so awesome.
Out of use? There's 50,000 people who speak it today...but yeah, it's awesome to listen to, especially if you speak icelandic and norwegian/danish, as faroese is sort of a weird mix between those three:)

anyway, ontopic, I'm fluent in english, icelandic, norwegian, finnish, and can sort of make myself understood in german:p I would like to learn japanese, spanish and arabic.

50,000 is enough to classify it as a dead language.

I'm fluent in English, but that's it.

I used to have a passable understanding of Japanese, at least when it was written (was still working on my comprehension when native speakers used it, damn it's quick), but I haven't really looked at any in a few years so that's gone.

Beyond that, I can usually make at least a decent guess at the meanings of most Latin-based languages. Sometimes I'm wildly wrong, but often I can at least get the gist.

As for what I'd like to learn, I'd be interested in becoming fluent in Japanese at some point and possibly Russian.

I know english pretty well, and I can speak it in several accents.

I have a basic knowledge of vietnamese, but I can't speak a word of it., I can listen to it to some degree.

I'd love to learn Japanese, for the sake of watching anime.
I'd also want to learn Russian so I can use the sexy accent to get chicks.

Native English speaker, spent four years studying Japanese. This year, I'm starting French and plan to study in Europe.

I would love to be able to speak German and Arabic too (I've studied both but not any extended period of time).

And I'd like to study Russian--because their writing system looks like fun. :)
