English is my first language, but I can survive by my Spanish. I have a strong interest in learning Japanese (a shocker, I know) and German (greatest swearing language EVER).
Please be a woman, because I think I found my soulmate.
Uh. Sorry to disappoint.

I'm fluent in English and Spanish. I used to know Portuguese, but I forgot most of it. I would pick it up again pretty quickly (lived in Brazil for 4 years).

I wanna learn japanese, french, dutch, german, italian...everything!

I speak English and I can get by on German. I really want to learn Spanish, just so that I can know what people are saying all the time.

I know English and some Romanian. Next will be Spanish, but just because my bf knows Spanish, really have no desire to learn it other than that.

English and French are 2 I can get by on. I can speak broken German and Spanish though.

I can understand them if the speaker speaks slowly.

I want to learn Turkish and Russian

I want to learn Faroese. It's been out of use for hundreds of years and has no practical use but it just sounds so awesome.
Out of use? There's 50,000 people who speak it today...but yeah, it's awesome to listen to, especially if you speak icelandic and norwegian/danish, as faroese is sort of a weird mix between those three:)

anyway, ontopic, I'm fluent in english, icelandic, norwegian, finnish, and can sort of make myself understood in german:p I would like to learn japanese, spanish and arabic.
Out of six billion. That's 0.0008% of the world.
The band Tyr are Faroese, just thought you would like to know... No, Okay.

I speak English and weak French. I took three years of it in highschool but I've lost a lot of my vocabulary since then.

I'd like to speak fluent French and Russian. I'd settle for a whole host of other languages but those two are my priority and the ones I actually plan to study in the immediate future.

Curiously, I'm not completely certain what the benefit of knowing French or Russian would be, other than being able to communicate with French and Russian speakers. I'm not sure there is a practical application to either. Which of course begs the question if there is a practical application to any. Is there a reason to learn a foreign language other than for entertainment sake? And if so, which language would be the most useful to learn for its practical application? What do you all think?
