I didn't have much trouble with the Mako; after a little careening around on a desert planet to get used to the vehicle's squishiness, we were copacetic. The only time I had a problem was when I stopped watching where I was driving in order to drink a coffee and yell at my fiancee in the backseat. Wait, that's how car accidents normally happen... Now if only our CR-V could have a turret on top like the Mako.
Well, once I got used to it it was OK, but it felt like I had to constantly remind myself not to drive it on instinct, ie; I could never just drive without being conscious of the fact that if I forgot I was driving and just play, I'd flip it. VERY unintuitive handling. Kinda silly just jumping over rockets, though.....
I was never coordinated enough to jump a rocket. I just backed around a corner until it went by. That's what higher ground's for. But I did love roving around the planet's surface; if it's true that we now just have a hovercraft that keeps the player on some rails, I admit I'll be disappointed.
It's true, it's been heavily hinted by Bioware and outright stated in the OXM review.

I hope they fix the inventory screen, and then I also hope they progress the romance subplot further. What kind of irked me in the first one is that all this flirting and romance all built up to a sex cutscene, then.. thats it. Pretty much nothing else. Bad message to send out, although I think my Shepard was a bit of "just did it to sleep with you" kinda guy.. Chicks dig scars, and he had plently of
They've said specifically that the reason your love interest is not in your squad in this game is that anyone in your squad (including Shepard) can die, and they want the love interest to have a part in the third game. Also, you do talk to her/him in the game, even though they're not in your squad. So yeah, it seems that it continues.
Huh, sounds reasonable enough. But can't you also start a new relationship in this game? If so.. cheating scumbag scarred Shepard FTW

Yeah, you can. One reason I'm glad that I roll FemShep (I love the VA), I know that I'd be too weak to avoid romancing Tali if it was possible for my character. I really hope that Tali doesn't swing both ways, I know that I won't be able to resist, and I do actually want to avoid cheating on Liara.

I can't believe I'm even thinking about it in those terms.

Think about it like this: You are on a galatic quest to go where no man (or woman) has gone before: get as much alien pootang as possible. By the way it doesn't surprise me that as a male gamer, you have done for the lesbian romance.. did the same bro

Am I the only one that didn't find the Mako a screaming deathtrap on wheels?
Is all of the internet in on a joke that I was never told about?
I never died when on a Mako mission; its not as bad as I was told.

Does difficulty make it shittier because of the heavier fire you take?
Seriously, the only threat I had in a Mako was a Colossus and I just parked on top of them pumped him full of explosive shotgun rounds while he was pinned between my Mako and the pavement.
On Insanity difficulty (the only one that really matters for 2nd playthrough) the Mako is a rolling death trap. It doesn't handle well enough to dodge enemy fire much and it doesn't have the durability to absorb it. It can take around 10 rockets on Insanity before you're toast. About 6 rockets in the Shields are gone, which means for the rest of the road trip you're SCREWED. It really wouldn't be nearly as bad if the shields were repaired along with the hull when you used repair, but they aren't.

It's probably not even for the reasons you think. It's just that I wanted to play as FemShep (again, Jennifer Hale is a god), and I didn't want to put up with talking to Kaiden. I really didn't like him that much, the only good thing about him was that he was voiced by Raphael Sbarge.

Make more side quests somehow relevant to the main story. It didn't really make any sense from a role-playing standpoint to go exploring when a massive machine army could be on the way to wipe out all life.

Kaiden just complained alot. "Whaa i have a headache" "Whaa I have no friends" "Whaa I was bullied in high school". This is deep space son, we don't have time for crying. I always laughed to myself when I sent him off to his death. WHO IS CRYING NOW *****?!

Actually, that was the part I liked. Specifically, he had problems, but never brought them up unless you asked. The headache is a good example: he downplays it (even though L2s supposedly get really, really bad, crippling headaches) and only mentions it in the first place because Shepard mentions that he looks like he's in pain. That's where my liking him ends, however. He, and especially his backstory, were just so bland!

I hope they get rid of walking 5 hours just to get to a mission prompt. Come on, I can't even fucking sprint in the citadel.

I liked Tali in Mass Effect 1, just something about her voice or cool backstorys just really made her always be in my party along with Ashley.

I hated, hated that ME1 bug that rendered Tali unromanceable.
Gee, I hope they fixed that one.
i dont think that she was even meant to be romanceable.

anyway, i hope that they will fix the graphics taking a while to texture the surfaces sometimes.
It was sarcasm friend.

I really hope they fix the elevators. and how some times my AI partners would stand in the open while they are getting shot, that was very annoying.

Thats what my point was, although it got lost in my gloating. His character was basically some guy with increased abilities and headaches. I can't see who wouldn't go for the blue alien with tentacle hair and mother issues

On the issues though I had with Mass Effect were the following.

-Hard to figure out Inventory system, it took me 30 mins to find out how to equip grenades for the not kill the innocent plant mind controlled people part.
-Can't run in Citadel area was a pain because the place was huge and it often told you to get from one end to the other.
-Lag with all the effects going on, especially in high enemy count scenarios
-Mako controls like a row boat in rapids
-Side planets to explore were boring and all had the same enemies, caves, etc. Because the outside only looked different.
-Tali unromantacible lol

Yeah textures took for ever to get detailed it pisses me off. A.I. could be about as useful as a coconut at times also.
