Hi, I'm a teenager and now find the need to shave. I've got a thin mustache that I must do away with; what razor should I equip myself with for this job? This will be my first razor I will own and I haven't a clue which type or brand to get. Should it be electric or disposable? Gillette or Schick? Any help at all would be appreciated.

Ask your father or guardian or whatever. It's a great bonding experiance :) I mean, hell!, there should be some kind of law on fathers teaching their sons to shave.
He uses those BIC disposables. I'm kind of looking for one that I could use forever (or are disposables better?). Also, specific razor names would be appreciated.

I will forever sing the praises of the Gillette Mach3. After one shave with one of those puppies, all other disposables just aren't as good.

my favorite, that for me lasts more than 2 months, is the 5razors piece of "Gillette Fusion"

I started off with a 50's style throat-slitter. They're hella efficient, but cut a little too straight and will carve off any blemishes with a horrid vengeance. So I switched to the Gillette 3-blade and have been happy with that for .. wow, 12 years now.

Electric razor; three times as fast, no more expensive, any idiot can use it without cutting himself.

Unless you are going camping, then you might need something manual.

Actually screw that, if you are going camping you should be growing a grizzly man beard.

YOU SIR! are absolutely right!
Yes, unfortunately the refil cartridges will cost you an arm and a leg...does anyone know why the hell they are so expensive?
wasn't it because they are being used by tennismen and footballers/football players ?

Ok, I'm going to get one of each type of razor. For manual, I think I'll go with the Gillette Fusion. As for electric, I have no idea. Any suggestions? And how does one shave right under his nose with an electric?
