These threads as usual are full of "Little Hitlers" and Daily Mail readers, who think extreme measures are the answer to everything.

Just to start off I want to say that this thread is NOT aimed at people with genuine learning difficulties. This is aimed at the children who are disruptive in lessons or just do not attend school altogether.
Actually genuine learning difficulites are probably the main cause of children who are disruptive other reasons maybe problems at home or even just the school failing the childern entirely.
My Brother suffers from very severe dyslexia and other learning problems.
Before he was diagnosed he was labelled "Lazy and Stupid" by his teachers and classmates because he couldn't do the work that was set him, which caused him to become deeply frustrated and angry leading him to bad behaviour.
After he got diagnosed he got sent to a special needs school, where he got the proper teaching and help he needed. Thanks to this hes grown up to be a pretty normal guy, but I reckon without that help he would fo just got worse and ended up being a no-hope for the rest of his life.
What I'm getting at is disruptive pupils most likely have hidden issues which are causing their behaviour and just labelling them bad eggs and shipping them off isn't helping anyone.
Instead you have to find the root cause of their problems and solve that.
