What should be done about stupid people?

Stop education from being compulsery (spelling check) that stops people who don't want to be at school attending... Speaking from one who would go any way... and english past primary (elementary) stages shouldn't be forced either... speaking from one who would have stopped.

stupid people weaken the universal gene pool. stop stupid people from breeding = strengthening the intelligence of future generations

That doesn't help we need these people to throw infront of us in droves when neo hitler arrives.

We begin by weeding them out in the school system.All children receive the same education until they reach the age of 10.Then the lower scoring students are apprenticed out to learn menial trades and skills.The rest are allowed to continue their education.Once they reach adulthood anyone caught doing something stupid(Think of half the videos on YouTube or anything on that Smoking Gun Show)would be sterilized to prevent their stupidity from being passed on.

It occurs to me that I used to disrupt classes, mildly anyway. Wasn't because I wasn't interested in learning but because I mastered the subjects so fast. While some were still struggling with the first step I'd finished my work and was making terrible paper aeroplanes or spinning my pens on the desk.

Under this ridiculously inept plan, I'd have been sterilised for being too smart?

Better welfare problems would really help. Yeah, its nice to try and coerce people to "Bootstrap" it, but as far as a child's education goes, taking care of them at home will do wonders, since usually its already the less affluent who don't bother.

Its simple. Take away the support net.

If they refuse to learn and work, they wont have any income. Take away their benefits, if they have children, have them adopted- the children shouldnt suffer because the parents are wastes of space. But cut the lazy creatures off, give them a choice between working and making something of themselves and starving in the gutter. That way the problem takes care of itself.

We have a saying in my family "there's always something needed to be done." SO allocate jobs for these people,and no they won't be fun but at least they are working and helping heck just sweeping streets, having people pump gas instead of pumping it yourself, cleaning up parks, and other things gives people jobs (sort of)and helps keep the cities clean...ish every little bit helps.

On another note No matter how much you try to improve the education system it's the kids themselves just not caring about it and rather just mooch off their parents ,or the government, and be happy about it. (and apologies for my spelling i an't no gud at it)

I hate it when people complain when most customer service centres are sent over to India. It's a job no-one wants to work, so when they take it to India, where the workers will literally dig through a landslide to get to work, they go up in arms. You don't know what you've got till it's gone -_-

But I agree with the idea of giving the bludgers something productive to do like community service. When they finally get sick of working for free, then maybe they'll do something about it.

Effilctar: I think you need to question your attitude to these so-called "drains" upon society. A possible first port of call would be to read a different newspaper.

Anyway, why shouldn't they take the free money for no work? If you can live within the means you are comfortable with without working then taking the money and enjoying your free-time seems perfectly rational to me. Your indication that these people should toil needlessly is totally illogical - which implies that these "less than dirt" people are in fact smarter than you. Perhaps you should be licking their shoes.
