I'm more interested as to how these flu's break out to begin with. But at the end of the day if the plague killed half the population of Britain and we as a race are still here and strong, swine flu in today's environment is such a ridiculous threat which back's up what someone up the thread posted 'it was really blown out of proportion (possibly as a means to distract us from the economy or something along those lines).'

Still trying to find the page someone sent me, have you got swine flu.org or something, had yes. PANIC! in big letters lol.

Suprise suprise, it's not really a threat! Or at least not a significant one. You see, NORMAL FLU kills the same amount of people that this special swine flu has...

On that note, who remembers SARS, West Nile Virus, Avian Flu, Mad Cow Disease, that crap that was in the veggies(E.Coli I think), etc? These were all diseases that underwent the same process: the media sensationalized them in order to attract ratings from concerned people.

In the end, this will be the death of us... for when the TRUE mega disease hits, everyone will think: Wow, the news is crying wolf again! And by the time people realize that they're wrong, it will be far too late.

This whole "Swine Flu Epidemic" is pure bullshit. Something like 200 people have been confirmed to have caught it and only two deaths were caused by it in a nation of 300 million people. It's not a epidemic, and people need to shut the fuck up about it. The state of New York is going bat shit stupid because 17 or so people total have got it here, some of which were in school. So now schools are closing left and right to be scrubbed down because everyone is paranoid that they're going to die from it.

It ain't gonna happen people. The only people who have died from it were already sick and dying. So stop wasting paper and time by saying how to avoid it, what to do if you think you got it and whatever the fuck useless "information" you wish to spew out. I and every single American have much better things to do than to listen to the germ-a-phobic nutter screaching on how the swine flu will kill us all.

that's easily the most class thing i've heard all day :D
but I haven't heard of chicken flu (i don't exactly keep up to date with the news since I don't have a TV and honestly couldn't care less half the time). What's that? Unless it's a reference to bird flu, in which case... meh.

Woops, I meant bird flu XD Thanks for the correction, but I do like the idea of chickens running around with a cup of beechams.

The media blew it all up into a big balloon of bull and it deflated every time they yapped some uncaring story about it. Seriously, stop believing the media.. they do NOT give an accurate representation of the current situation.

People just realised that it was a big load of bullshit. It was not "the most dangerous disease ever" like some people said.

but how's a chicken gonna hold the cup? if it tried to carry a cup in its beak it's almost definitely gonna spill it :( unless this new strain of chicken flu mutates hands onto it. which would be AWESOME!
