But yeah, it looks like a large Crane fly, aka a Daddy Long Legs.

Completely harmless, I'd say.
The hell kind of Daddy Long legs do you get?!

I dont think its a crane fly. Those things have really long legs.

Could be a may fly, lkes like it has some hunchback.

Or, it could be something new.

Oh I know this one. Its called a crane fly. It is similar to a mosquito but is much larger and flies with its legs behind it like a crane.

We call them mosquito eaters where I live. Some people say they're male mosquitoes, and that is actually what they are, but I still call them mosquito eaters. Never seen one so vividly colored, though.

And you guys are all pussies, it's just a bug. They don't even drink blood, they're incredibly laid back. Pretty stupid, too, they fly into stuff really often. No need to get all scared.

It looks like a kind of wasp, I'll need a better look at the mouth parts though to see if it has suckers or chewers.

It's a mosquito hawk. Proper name is a crane fly.

Totally harmless. Grubs are a bit of a problem to lawns, mind.

Well, someone just beat me to it.

Yeah, it's just a crane fly. They're big, ugly yolks, but essentially harmless.

You idiot, it's obviously a rat.

OT: It kind of looks like a tarantula hawk.

If it's name didn't make it obvious enough, it is one mean ************ (assuming it is one, of course).

Nonsense, it's clearly a dog.

Alternatively, a giant, if rather harmless, mosquito.
