only happened a few times but when they did, i quite simply joined their game and showed them why it isnt the best game (taking into account these people were quick-scoping turds) and just ran around with every over-powered perk and gun that crossed my mind and sprayed like there is no tommorrow. they soon shut the fuck up

Wow really? Wow, sorry but that is kind of being a douche, why can't people just let other people keep their opinions? If anything that is what makes me want to lose faith in gamers, sometimes we act like bigots.

If that happened to me one of my other firends would shut them up anyway. But if it were up to me i would just let them tell me about it for a bit and then when they got bored of telling me that would just stop. On the other hand if it went on to long i would just tell them that i dont like the game and stop listening whenever they talk about it. I dont really like the game anyway. It is good in its own way but not as good as they say it is.

I have a few friends who think CoD is God's gift to the world too, and I TRIED to warn them not to get Black Ops, since it would be more of the same crap, but no, they all bought it. Now almost all of them are saying they wished they listened to me instead. Besides, in my opinion, MW1 is better than any of the recent CoD games.

I seriously don't know what you do. I live with a bunch of COD nuts and I can't even get them to play Halo. Of course, MW2 is not in the spotlight right now since Black Ops just came out. They've been playing non stop for the last week (OK, that's understandable since I totally do that whenever I get a new game). I'm not saying COD is bad, I'm just saying that there are other games beside COD and maybe they can't compare with your undying love for COD but you won't know unless you try them.

How so? What did i say that could possibly do it. The guy sounded very pretencious and mean to his apparent friends. MW2 is a great game we dont need hate threads that are thinley disguised. The easy solution would be stop being friends if there so annoyning.

I have honestly done nothing wrong for me to get banned, unless your satircly implying the forums full of elitests who bann somone for not agreeing.

Well, only one of my friends owns MW2 and even he said not to buy the bloody thing, so I cant empathize with you on that one. Try organizing a MP session where everyone will shoot only him, or smacking him in the face with "hardened" edition of MW2, or getting him hooked on Minecraft or Peggle, or destroying his 360 and forcing him to play I wanna be the guy (although that might make leave gaming altogether), or just accepting him despite his faults .

I didn't buy WaW and MW2 for number of reasons. Multiplayer was meh, lack of dedicated servers, ridiculous pricing policy; like game disc was made of solid gold and therefore everyone needed to pay extra $10 (or $20 where I live), total disregard for PC fanbase, etc. I was also shocked to see that gameplay was somewhat better on consoles (in singleplayer ofc, cause no one in their right mind play would play MP with controller when there's perfectly good mouse and keyboard). But since I skipped those two, I'm seriously considering buying Black Ops in near future cause i miss whole CoD MP a little bit.
Also IGN are a bunch of CoD fanboys so if they say story is lacking it must be true, although I don't see how can anything they say be relevant since they tend to be a bit sarcastic and snidey about games.

quick recap: video gaming was born on a PC. If anyone throws out the "xbox is better than pc" (or vice versa with a different console), remind them of that fact. PC is the god father of gaming, no matter how fast your xbox is, or how epic your motion controls are, PC has bragging rights in any given situation.

Maybe because you flamed someone for (whaddaya know...) having an opinion. Or the fact that you called him a snob with nothing to base it on. It seemed to me, that he is exasperated with his MW2 fanboy friends, as I am, and that is no reason whatsoever, to flame someone. Oh, and btw, flaming is against forum rules, and will get you banned.
