Pretty simple, what invention, world changing, trivial, what-have-you, was invented in the country you call home?

I'll go first.

America- Airplane, Machinegun, bifocals, tumbler lock (I believe), and the telephone.

So, by Scotland, do you mean the "Scottish" or Scotland, the country. Cause I'm having a hard time figuring out how Scotland invented the US Navy. And wouldn't that be created? isn't there a difference between creating and inventing?

A Scot founded the US Navy according to a website that i looked at but after further research i could be giving him way too much credit lol

-we invented the jet engine..Henry coanda-1910 (how can you say that england invented the jet engine ??....seriously...germany had jet engines in ww2 when england was still flying wood planes)

-we discovered the insuline : Nicolae Paulescu-1916. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicolae_Paulescu

-we "invented" vampires..well..almost...thanks to one of our Heroes..Vlad Tepes. Bram Stoker wrote the novel and inspired himself from the myth's surrounding vlad tepes.

we wrote the complete religion encyclopedia, Mircea Eliade (don't know the year exactly)

we invented baseball....romanian imigrant's brought with the a romanian national sport called "oina" that resembles baseball..only diference is that oina is several hundred years older.
So, America..plese stop playing baseball and please stop making stupid vampire movies like Twilight.
