What was the first anime you watched?

For me, it was first Dragonball Z as morning cartoons, then later on when Toonami started airing it I saw Gundam Wing, followed shortly by Yu Yu Hakusho.

My father was a fan of Anime back in the eighties, so likelyhood is I might not remember the first anime I saw. I have vauge memories of watching something that may have been Akira, and something else that may have been Vampire Hunter D, but I couldn't have been older than five at the time.

So yeah. Apologies Abound

like most people i know, the first anime i ever watched was pokemon, way back when i was 12. the first anime i ever became cultishly obsessed with, however, was dragon ball z (though to this day, it still bothers me that tien's 3rd eye doesnt blink)
