What was the first anime you watched?

I don't remember if i watched pokemon or DBZ first but i watched DBZ every single day from raditz to buu saga

well the first anime i watched was a few episoads of the original dragon ball z when i was very young, i started watching naruto in 2006 but never really thought of it as anime. So in my opinion the first true anime i watched was Elfen Lied. I hold it as a true anime and was the first one that made me get into anime.

The first I saw when I knew what anime was:
Yu Yu Hakusho, followed by Cowboy Bebop followed by Inuyasha. I loved Adult Swim on Saturdays...

Cowboy Bebop... or Pokemon when i was really little, but i don't remember watching more than 1 or 2 episodes, so i don't think that counts...

Sailor Moon.

I was randomly flipping through channels one time in the seventh grade, and happened to flip onto the death of a major villain. Took me off-guard, so I kept watching, and the rest of the episode seemed fascinating. By the second one, I was hooked.

Hmm, when I was five (1993) I saw Laputa: Castle in the sky with Chinese subtitles when I was visiting relatives in Taiwan. I didn't understand the language, but I remember the visuals being very impressive.

The first anime I saw in the US was Voltron and Robotech when they aired on Toonami...good times.
