Some Thai version of Sailor Moon. Damn I was young there, don't even know what that was about I just watched it for the pretty colours :D. Then probably Beyblade when it was 'the shit' at school.

After that, recently into this year I'm getting into anime and my first ones were Lucky Star, Elfen Lied, and Cowboy Bebop.

Tenchi Muyo in Love (the first one whatever it was called). It was at least 10 years ago when Scifi was showing anime once in a while. At the time I didn't realize that this was Japanese animation I just thought it was cartoons for adults. I didn't realize what that movie was until I started watching Tenchi Muyo on Toonami years later.

Either:
Ronin Warriors
or
Sailormoon
or
Dragon Ball

However the first 'anime I knew was an anime' was The Vision of Escaflowne.
It's still one of my favorites.

I watched Dragon Ball Z from when I was 3 to when I was around 5. Although I also watched Sailor Moon and Gundam Wing at around the same time, so I'm not sure which I watched first, but Dragon Ball Z is the one I remember best.

Fullmetal Alchemist. My college mates physically forced me to watch it after I made a particularly stinging anime hate speech. I have since bought all of FMA and come to terms with my newfound love of anime.

Pokemon, then DBZ, Gundam Wing, and Digimon. Although I don't remember anything else, well, maybe Tenchi Muyo, but I haven't seen that show in years and barely remember any of it. All I know is that it was my first Harlem anime. Also, Yu Yu Hakusho

Pretty much anything that was on Toonami.

Adult Swim gave me Inuyasha, Cowboy Bebob, Trigun, and Fullmetal Alchemist.

My first Manga was Ranma 1/2.

It had violence and energy beams erupting from peoples hands. It was awesome!

If you don't think it counts though, Bleach was my first...

Venus Wars, Vampire Hunter D, and Akira. ...all in one Saturday night back in '94.

Later they were followed by full-series runs the original Guyver: Bio-Booster Armor, Samurai Champloo, and then Cowboy Bebop.

I know my palate is spoiled... I can't even sit through one episode of DBZ, FMA, or any of the other popular titles of the last few years.

**edit**
Wait... forgot about the adolescent years of Saturday morning Voltron and the VERY rare viewing of Robotech episodes.
