Pokemon.

If that doesn't count, InuYasha.
Wow just wow, that is the exact thing I was going to say.

Pokemon - I got into because when the first season was out Pokemon was the most popular thing around.

and I got into InuYasha because a girl I had a crush on when I was in middle school was waaaaaaaay into it.

also if this counts Blood the Last Vampire was the first anime movie I ever watched.

Sailor Moon.
Me too!

It was on TV in the mornings - I got up every school day early to watch it before I had to go to school =) Good times.

Vampire Hunter D, followed by Lensman on Adult Swim. That was quite a while ago already.

Digimon! My sister was watching cartoons and she wanted to show me what was on. So, there's this whole voiceover about what happened on the previous episode. I was quite surprised that a Saturday morning cartoon show would have an actual plot that they expected viewers to keep track of from week to week. I didn't realize it at the time, but that was my introduction to anime.

Fooly Cooly.
I started strong.
Me to. I was around 9 years old so it was a pretty freaky experience.
Watching Folly Cooly in general is a freaky experience.
Well I've seen alot more freaky things and I generally have freaky friends(not in that way), so viewing fooly cooly now is much less freaky.

The first anime I've ever watched... pretty hard to tell... maybe it was the very first Dragon Ball, or Saint Seiya, I don't quite remember, as anime is pretty hot here on Mexico and there were many anime series already running on TV when I was a kid.

I can tell you wich ones I have the fondest memories, but I really don't remember wich one was the very first.

Neon Genesis when I was young and innocent. While I was flicking through the channels I stumbled across giant robots with swords, one of the most awesome things I ever saw back then.

Pokemon when I was a kid.....but I never watched anything other than that until a few years ago. My first real anime was One Piece, and is also my favorite. I have also seen, Naruto, Naruto Shippuden (Neither are THAT good), Cowboy Bebop (Awesome!), and Full Metal Alchemist (also Awesome.)

My first would likely be Robotech, Sailor Moon(don't judge me), Gundam Wing, DBZ(all the way to the end), and the rest that came with Toonami and Adult Swim. My first anime movie would be Endless Waltz and my first non-Toonami anime would be Ah My Goddess(again don't judge me) and then Hellsing.

I say don't judge because Im a dude.

Gundam Wing.

Went back and watched it again about a year ago... It was still as awesome as I remember it being when I first watched it on Toonami.

Epyon is still the best Gundam ever too.

The first and only anime that I have ever watched was Inuyasha when I was younger... that's about it and I don't think I'm missing out on anything. Although I have seen Miyazaki's work and I absolutely love it.
