Oblivion.

Followed by...nothing for about year.

So, I played Oblivion and nothing else for a year.

I bought my Xbox 360 from the local Argos (strange choice I know). At the same time I also bought Oblivion as my very first high definition game. I remember just wandering around the countryside astounded at the detail, I must admit I quickly grew tired of the game itself, it just wasn't my sort of thing, but from a graphical standpoint, it seemed incredible. I came quite late to the high def scene, 2007, and I didnt have a high end computer so I had never seen this sort of thing before - good day.

Little irony was that my xbox was infact broken when I bought it, and would peculiarly ONLY play oblivion. When I bought Gears of War soon after, it wouldnt play it!

The game I got with my 360 back in the day... I think it was Kameo? Or maybe Blazing Angels.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Ok for the time a superhero based Diablo clone.

For wii it was Warioware: Smooth Moves, Elebits, Super Paper Mario, Zelda: Twilight Princess I think

And for my 360 it Fallout 3, Viva Pinata, Fable 2, and the games that cam free with it.

Umm, the first game I bought on my xbox would've been perfect dark zero. As for "current gen", I suppose Call of Duty 2 (on PC). It's hard because on PC current gen and last gen tend to be mashed together.

Living in Australia meant we got the xbox (and later, the PS3) a full year after those of you living across the pacific (it's a long way, and apparently some poor bastard has swim with them attached the a raft behind him....not the fastest or cheapest way to transport merchandise, but it certainly explains the delayed releases and high prices of Aus games).

I got the 360 at launch and I picked up Condemned and Tiger Woods '06 and got Kameo for free.

Looking back, the 360 had a shitty launch lineup and porobably should've held off a few months to build up consoles (you probably remember the shortages) and have more games available.

Gears of War.

It was pretty much the only 360 game I had heard of at the time and I'd played a few games via split screen on a friend's console, so I was psyched when I bought it.

I remember my first time, I got a 360. I was a tad jealous whenever I see my friend play with his bulky xbox and I said to myself that I got to get one. Once I arrived, I was wondering why were there tons of people waiting at the store and they said that they all are gonna buy an xbox, and I never knew that they were talking about the 360. So I purchased one along with a copy of Saint's Row. I tried it once and I was bedazzled by it. It remained my most loved game. Even if the disk broke a year later, I still keep it in my stash of games. Oh I wished I could still play it.
