I got Gears of War 2 with my 360, but many years earlier I had played Gears 1 and I was dumbstuck by it.
I was looking forward to that game, but it is the only single player game that I have ever ragequitted. If I die because of bad controls, I should not be sent back 30 minutes from where I was. Kinda wish I had stuck it through though.HG131 said:Sonic 06, which I actually kind of enjoyed. I don't have it anymore (it's one of those games that really can only be plated once). I think the next one was Gears Of War.
As a mainly PC gamer myself, in my mind, I consider Half Life 2 to be the herald of this generation of gaming, particularly for PC. Generations are most easily marked by a sudden jump in graphics, and I thought that Half Life was a humongous step forward compared to everything else at the time. Plus, it was released around the same time as the next gen consoles.fix-the-spade said:Team Fortress 2
Much merryment was had.
The trouble is, where do you define the generation boundries when you're a PC gamer? I've had FEAR and Quake 4, both of which hit this gen of consoles, but I had them some time before the PS3 was even out. TF2 was released on consoles roughly at the same time as the PC, so that's the first one I've had that was part of 'this' generation.
One, I bought one for myself on the birthday that got my Xbox 360.Awake- said:What? Why?Knight of Cydonia said:assassins creed, assassins creed, the orange box and Halo.
