I think it was Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction, but please bare in mind that i've been gaming for so long that an arbitrary detail about using a cheat would not likely be committed to memory.

Spyro: Year of the Dragon.
On top of being my first video game, I discovered the game had built-in cheat codes. Most of them were merely cosmetic, though (making Spyro's head big, changing his colors, ect).
