In Hitman and MGS, if I'm spotted, my chest gets fluttery and I'm like "Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck"

Onimusha. Since the camera is at a locked angle and sometimes you cant see whats right in front of you one time i was playing and one of the zombie samurai was just chillin their hissin but i couldnt see him. He was stuck on a box but i was so scared shitless that the zombie from hell was gunna come outta no where that i held the block button for 15 minutes before changing camera angles and seeing his face RIGHT in the screen. I jumped back and hit my little sister in the nose.

Gotta go with FFVII... some of the scenes involving Sephiroth (and maybe Jenova) really freaked me out, scary stuff.

Thief 3 - Orphanage level. Back when I first played it, that place freaked me out so much I couldn't bring myself to play the game and eventually uninstalled it. Come to think of it, I haven't played it since... Maybe I should give it another go...

Those Mole Rats in Fallout 3 always make me jump, you never hear them coming until they're right behind you and BAM!
This.

Goddamn Mole Rats...they are so easy to kill, but so...jumpy. Same for Headcrabs in HL Games, especially the black ones.

Also, i feel somewhat scared in just about any stealth game. Worst was MGS1 back then, because i got a Dual Shock Controller shortly before that game, and the shrill sound when someone spots you plus the vibration made me jump every time.

-i have a few
-In half life two the garage with alex, my flashlight runs out, i hear alex scream gordon help, it flicks on giving alex enough time to duck a fast zombie, clicks off again, clicks on with a fast one in my face, i pull the left trigger to watch its head go flying, god how good that elevator ride felt after
-Oblivion when you find what happens to the bruma mages guild, caught in a hallway, wraiths are ganging up on me, i see their green slobbering afces, thankfully my heavy armor and balde skill went to a 100 in that fight
-Oblivion, my first play, walking through a forest, i hear something, turn around see a running kajit, turn back, i see him a gain, we walks up on me, and threatens me, i slaughter him, but then the fight leads me into two bandits i cant fight, so i use my argonian powers to hide in water, i lose them, but as i finally reach the imperial city they comeback, and at this point i thought they were drowned, thankfully a guard saves my level one 5 health ass,
-half life, ravenholm, low on ammo, just discovered fast zombies, which i hate always, no mater when i have to fight them, so Im shitting myself, Ive barricaded the door, i fight my way out using everything but the pistol, only to be stuck in a tower with them all coming, lets say i put in my only cheat code for that game to skip that level, also the first time Alex mentions ravenholm I actually stopped to push all the crap in the area against that crappy iron gate out of fear of the unknown

When I was like 10 or so, the scariest moment for me was playing the Haunted House level in Mario 64.

I FUCKING hate Boos...

For some reason I've gotten really tense while playing Terrorist Hunt on Rainbow Six Vegas especially in single player where you have no mini-map and using the regular map is like standing so that your head is just perfectly positioned infront of the Tango's muzzle. Also while there are certain patterns as to where the enemy will be the actual number of enemies in that location is not set. Another thing is that there are alot of blind corners and open areas so that I can never take just a cautious or gung-ho style. Plus I sometimes play using a chair that has speakers right next to my ears which does wonders for immersion. Finally even with regenerating health you can still die pretty quickly, I cant tell you the number of times I've been flattened like excrement hammered on a skillet by some lucky SOB with a SPAS 12.

EDIT: Also I'm very creeped out by Roaches and the Radroaches in Fallout 3 look too much like their real world relatives.

Hell yes. The first time I heard/saw one of those I booked it to sold ground so fast.

I'm not sure whether or not it happened to you guys but when a thresher maw came up under my mako and destroyed it in one hit. Didn't see it coming...

Yikes. Those kinds of things always unnerved me since "Tremors". Same god damned thing in Jedi Outcast: Jedi Academy, where you go looking for survivors on some desert planet and then have to salvage pieces of the wreck while be hunted by those giant worms. Really makes you twitchy.

As lame as this sounds, Disney games have some scary "game over" screens. And I'm talking about on the Sega Genesis. Aladdin comes to mind, with Jafar cackling with his big mug on the screen (the slot machine isn't my friend either). They also include this lovely screen before a couple of the levels.

And The Emperor's New Groove had a spooky game over screen as well. Children's games scare me, and yet I'm fine watching my brother play Resident Evil. Whatever. I'm not a fan of chasing games/levels or timed things, either.
that would scare the crap out of me...

I know that RE is a horror game but I have to say that when playing Resident Evil 5 with a friend of mine scared the cap out of me. He was playing Chris while I was playing Sheva. He would walk up beside me or move in my camera's vision and I would think it was a zombie. It would scare the crap out of me and I would almost shoot him... I actually did shoot him a couple times.
