The First game I played that SHOULD have been M rated was between Mortal Kombat or this weird poltergeist game for the SNES when I was 5 or 6. Other than that I gotta give a shoutout to Conkers Bad Fur Day for N64. That game was brilliant.
The ESRB ratings are age ratings at the core, they just go by different names. If you look into it, there's an age connected to each rating. EC is for very young children, from 3-10. E is 6 and up, E10+ -- which is the newest rating -- is 10 and up, T is 13 and up, M is 17 and up, and AO is 18 and up. Using letters instead of numbers makes it easier for parents to make decisions based on the maturity level of the child, rather than the age alone, but the numbers are still there.Jasonater said:Over here we have age ratings, not 'maturity' ratings
But I had Resident Evil and Silent Hill when I was 3/4
