I actually don't care what happens to it... so I guess I'll be buried at Willamette National Cemetery. I think they reserved a place for me when I deployed...

Organs will be donated, after that family can decide. I'm not using the body any more so I don't really care what they do with it.

Ideally I'd like to be cremated and my ashes launched into space where they would then drift on the solar wind to distant parts of the universe.

I see your superman idea and I raise you this. I want to be dropped out of a helicopter dlying over New York in the middle of December wearing a Santa outfit. Also I want a reindeer dropped with me.

Seriously though. Probably get buried and donate all my good organs.

I want to be cremated, and have my ashes scattered in the Mandela Gardens in Leeds city centre. Reason being that Leeds is my university city, one of my favourite cities, and a place I deem my adopted hometown (since it's much nicer than my crappy hometown). And Millennium Square, where the Mandela Gardens are, is one of my favourite places in Leeds, a tranquil place of calm (and the arts, and theatre too) in the middle of the hustle and bustle, so it's the perfect place for me to stay when I finally drift into the unending sleep...

[small]EDIT: Of course, that will all be after they've harvested my body for any useful organs. I may be one of those people who would welcome a natural disaster reducing the Earth's population (we're overcrowded massively, I reckon even forced sterilisation in countries with more than 3% population growth seems like a viable, if worst-case, solution) - but organ donation is something I care very strongly about...[/small]

Well you'd have to stick a stake through my heart quick smart because I'm probably not THAT dead.

i'm a registered organ donor, so i'll give as much of my body as i can then have the rest cremated and scattered in places that meant a lot to me.

I'm listed as a donor on my driver's license, so I guess that they can take all my organs then cremate me. Never gave much thought to it.

Probably just a very simple burial. Not even a coffin or in a graveyard. Just like wrapped in a linen, and maybe a small header

I'd like to be thrown from a helicopter at random.

Just pay someone to fly me around Flagstaff and the surrounding area for a couple hours, then, when the time runs out, chuck my body out of the door and let it stay wherever it lands.

But keep the dogs away.

I want my body donated entirely to science, I have no use for it and it will be a lot more useful to scientists than to me.

Vivisection, and the parts put into canisters attached to 155mm high-explosive rounds, and shot out of a M777 howitzer. Because rather than my body being burned or slowly rot underground, I think it's a far better fate to be obliterated by artillery.
Also, if it isn't possible for my body parts to be shot out of a M777, I'd like my body (in one piece) to be the target of an Excalibur round. To me, it's an awesome thing for my corpse to be vaporized by a $50,000+ (ours were $75,000) round.
Failing all that, viking funeral, because it's a HELL of a spectacle.

What? I am many things, but before all else, I am a performer, and even my funeral will have flair and style.

I'll take a cue from Neil DeGrasse Tyson on this. His thoughts sum up my own very well.

"When I die, I want to be buried without a casket - just my naked body placed in the earth, so the plants an animals can feast on my body as I have feasted on theirs for the entirety of my life."

I hear there's an artist in Germany whose medium is dead people. It would be nice to spend eternity as a piece of art. Another possibility would be to have my body combined with my GF's body (this is assuming we die together) and have that mass of ash turned into a diamond. It seems like the kind of thing that would need to happen to create a Summon Spell or something but it would really just be a mad show of love that generations will likely forget about if we're not stored in a museum.

I have signed up for medical science. institutions desperately need cadavers to study and there simply aren't enough to go around. The annoying thing is that I can't donate any organs apart from my corneas.

Put me in a hermetically sealed stone box so no pesky flesh-eaters can get through then throw me in the ocean. Always liked nature and down there my corpse wouldn't bother anyone.

Viking funeral. Viking funeral. Viking funeral.

They're legal right?

Or whatever I'll be cremated *wink*.
