A lot of repeat threads and people saying "Use the search bar!"
A thread saying "People should learn to use the damn search bar" and all the post in the thread mocking the op for not using the search bar.

It is impossible to run out of topics.

Example:

Start a thread about the number 1.
Then start one about the number 2.
number 3.
number 4.
etc.

INFINITE.

/thread.
"And today, we discuss the truth about the number 492.138.235. We had a brilliant discussion last week with 95squared, but continuing with reasonable numbers here, I believe this number will lead up to an discussion even larger than when we rounded 492.138.000... Yes, you most certainly will bring another discussion worthy of me staying up too late trying to hastidly reply my counter opinion on the false accusations you bring about 493.138.235 being somewhere in between the 400th-500thousands fractional digits of pi, when it clearly doesn't appear until the 700thousand'd....."

It's a wonderful world indeed. Excuse me, I hafta go cry. 492.138.235 will most probably be the number of headaches that discussion will induce...
Do those numbers have 2 decimal points? D:
I'm european. We use commas for decimal points thingy, not periods. :D

Someone will start killing random forum members, and we will have to work out who is doing the killing merely by their posts.

My money is on Furburt, in the library, with the candlestick.

Strikes me that we wouldn't need so many topics if more people were having actually conversations rather than bashing out a reply, never reading or replying to other people's points, not taking part in any kind of debate.

I often see posters I quite like (and who often express themselves better than I) say things that I like and wonder if anyone will actually start a conversation on an interesting point (I usually can't beyond "I agree" which is neither interesting nor useful).

Yes I am aware of the irony of my typing this reply without picking up a conversation point from anyone before me....
i agree hah !
edit2: will edit later to add relevant reply
edit3: you are right sir, but most topics are like this, a repost of an old topic, filled with people just 1 line posting about whatever the subject is, not even considering viewing to what the topic has evolved if it even has, cause that is pretty rare

if it is, you will have 1-3 people talking back and forth about something which quickly dies, any kind of fullscale debate just dies on page 2 where people just rehash others oppinions without looking or reading

this reply is on page 1, wonder if anyone actually sees this, now for science, someone quote and reply
I can't believe it.. I must have missed it somewhere...

After reading this I went through all 4 pages looking for a quote of this, but didn't see any... Oh well, here is one at least :D

And to speak my opinion on this topic: There's no limit to the number of topics able to discuss. For example, I can start a discussion here about why the pokemon "surskit" is the funniest ever. IT'S NAME MEANS SOUR SHIT IN MY LANGUAGE!!!!!!! BEAT THAT IF YOU CAN! <--- In other words, we will fall to the meaningless, childish topics that no one really care about, but everyone got something to say about.

I doubt it will ever happen. People will always have an opinion on something and will post it here. Followed by flaming. Goddess only knows how many Doctor Who threads there will be.
