I'd ban 'Preaching'....that is to say, make it illegal, or atleast taboo, to force or trick other people into believing in the same ideologies as you. You can still have debates and arguments, mind you, you just can't say "i'm right because [enter divine/political/chosen entity name here] said so. This rule would Especially apply to children. as in, parents cannot teach their kids that only ONE specific ideology is right and everything else is wrong/inaccurate/bad. Kids should be able to decide that for themselves once they reach the appropriate age (late teens/early adulthood)

No it's not propaganda, it's true, sure it's changed recently to most war being about power and land-grab, but look at how many Muslims are stereo-typed to be terrorists due to a small faction.

And no obviously I don't believe in a god or gods, but I'm not one of those preach to everyone saying "there is no god buahahaha!" people, I just find religious wars to be down right stupid, and the sweeping generalization of wars to also be just plain dumb.

Note: I did not say what America is doing in the middle-east was a "war" (because it's not, it's a police act)

and there's no reason to hate me for thinking out of the box

First god was made up to explain the unexplainable (Zeus = Lightning for example)
Then god was told to be kind and gentle and we should take after his example (Jesus)
then something horrible happened (The Dark Ages)
and now he's more or less a comfort blanket (praying for STUPID things like "let me win the lotto" and "help me get that promotion" as if a supreme being cares about that)
and there's pricks go door to door trying to cram their beliefs down your throat (Mormons/Jehovah's Witnesses)

So tell me, does believing something that differs from anthers belief about the same subject REALLY have cause for war?

well we'll start with all those people in Texas that want to change our history books to pretty much "America Rocks, and nothing but Christianity exists." (If you didn't hear look it up, they want to take out Jefferson because he wasn't a good christian.)

Then anyone else that still thinks Bush was right.

THEN we'll find the mentally disabled if you really think they deserve it... I don't but I know a lot of people that think the disabled shouldn't have rights because "They don't help society"

Don't hate God, hate religion. The idea of God helps people in their everyday lives. Religion creates an army of sheep following the word of man.

OT: So on that note, laws based entirely on religion. Gay marriage, abortion, stem cell research etc. Until you can give me one good concrete reason why two consenting adults shouldn't marry each other, which probably isn't going to happen.

On your note, my gay friends were in a fight against prop 8 here in california

and they were arguing with catholics...

I got unhinged...

Me: "Well if you can vote on their marriage why can't they vote on yours?!"

I said stupid DRM. Steam at least offers some pro's when you use it. So its not stupid. Even though there are a few niggling flaws that have been with it for years and haven't been fixed. But thats a different story.
