I would award myself lots of cool badges, I would get a new title other than "Gone Gonzo", and I would UNLOCK MY THREAD.

[small] You have no idea how much that pissed me off. It was a perfectly acceptable topic. [/small]

All your ban r belong to us.

I'd ban the whole lot for no reason than because I can.

And I'd be summarily removed very quickly.

They take their job way too seriously most of the time anyway might as well be the biggest douche of the bunch.

Perma-ban all other mods and make myself super-mod, then appoint people I know as mods to monitor and perma-ban anyone who tries to resist
You and your devious plans!

I'd probably do less. I've been a mod before and I never really did anything except reorganise the stickies and talk about changing things in the mod-only forum.

If I want to be all fantasy-like as everyone else seems to be, I'd start a several-decades-long plot to unleash my inner troll and exceed the limits of my moderator powers. All I need is a pair of glasses to remove fabulously when my plan comes to fruition.

One-week suspension for anyone who calls anybody a "******" or refers to something as "gay."

One-month suspension for second offense; outright ban for the third.

I know the actual mods already keep an eye on this, but I'm unsure what the penalties are.

I would lock vs, politics, over rated and 'why the hate' threads instantly and without mercy.
I do hope you mean politics threads that aren't in the proper place. There is an entire board for religion and politics after all.

OT: post like normal and lock threads when things get really out of hand. Nothing would really change...I might lurk more. Maybe I would channel my mod powers into solving world hunger or something.

Here's what I would do:

-Give some fucking reasons for locking threads before doing so
-Quote rule-breakers and explain to them what they did wrong so that not only they, but everyone else can see it as well
-Be much more open to forum members' comments and challenges about the kind of job I do, so that I might improve at it
-Not act like I inherently know better than all the other posters; I just might be wrong sometimes

That's pretty much the gist of it.

Ok, I'll rephrase that, I'd lock inane thoughtless politics threads.

Things like 'is Obama a communist' and 'were the Nazi's right' the thoughtless reactive tripe that even Fox News would consider a little too reactionery and brain dead.

I'd probably just do my job properly.

Though I'd be a little less strict where minor flaming is concerned.

Also, I'd probably perma-ban anyone who makes a zombie thread.
..but.. zombies are so.. awesome..

Ah yes, well those do have a good reason to be locked. They're annoying and pointless. Maybe they should make you a mod. A mod with cojones.

probably put in a no "frumpy mom", "that 7 year old christian nut" and "I hate the new members because they're new" threads. I would also have a help section on the forums. right now we use off topic for that stuff, but I think we need a full on section of the forums for people to ask help questions for using the site.

I would be a terrible mod. I'm too much of a grammar Nazi, I would be kicking and banning people left and right for spelling errors.

I would do play the role of any other mod on this site. Enforce the rules, contribute to threads and use my banning powers on those who bring harm to this site.

Joke: I'm naming myself Locky Lock Lockington. I'm banning everyone who makes fun of the french language.

I would probably be a bad mod.
