I think I would just moderate. Surprise!

Actually, I would try to be as lenient as I can with people, sending as many messages of warning as I can before going beyond that point. I mean, I've seen people get suspended for things that just make me laugh, and not all of them were that bad. However, I would just search the Religion and Politics section (a.k.a, the easiest place to find flame wars and trolls.).

Another good idea:

Develop a *Mod's Choice* type tag that they could assign to threads with particularly interesting ideas/discussions going on to reward them for delving a little deeper than "What games did you get this Christmas?"

It would be a way to counter the fact that the threads with hundreds of responses are the ones that require no thought, or opinion, or even reading what people have said before you, to answer.

[HEADING=1]HAAAAAAAY MAN WTF IZ RONG XMAS POSTZ, R U LIEK A FUKIN ATEIS R SUMTHIN?????!!!!1[/HEADING]

Ban that guy Furburt.

He's a liability to this site.
Absolutely, jeez he just can't resist pissing on everyone.

Probably be a reasonably fair mod, but I would stick dogmatically to the rules, so I would probably be hated for overenthusiastic banning and probationing.

I would do my best to cut down on low content discussions and posts, and try to guide newer users (and older ones who need it) to becoming more valued and outstanding members of our community through the proper use of discussion. I think I would do quite a good job, actually.
