simple question - What would you do if you won the lottery? would you save it, spend it or treasure it?

What would you buy?
Would you share your money?
Lastly, do you like bacon?

First I use it to pay all the debts our family has. Then we use the rest of the money to buy some land and build some houses so I can live next to my parents when I ever get married.

As for the beacon question. I'm Muslim so... yeah... (and please no arguing about it)

Well, I wouldn't go public, definitely wouldn't go public.
I'd update the shit out of my computer, and save the rest and probably not to alter my lifestyle too much.

If I won the lottery, I would spend every cent of it on more lottery tickets. JK

Actually, I would first use it to pay bills, help my family and friends, etc. Then I would buy things I need and somethings that I want. I would be careful in how I spend that money. I may even invest and or give to charities. It really depends on how much money I've won.

Lastly, I like bacon.

Completely pay off the car we bought last week, give a bit (depending on how much I won)to family and friends, donate some of it to something like Red Cross, and then live a slightly more interesting life. I wouldn't sell my house because I like my neighborhood. Though I may move into this really nice one that's been for sale across the street. I'd save it mostly, pay off all my debts and then retire.

I would spend most of it making sure that myself and all my family could be comfortable for the rest of our lives. then i would use the rest to achieve my dream of becoming a film director :) So i would spend it on making films and helping people :p

I would also pay all my debts first. Then, if there was enough left - how much did I win in this hypothetical lottery anyway? - I'd try to live off the interest =P

I would share with friends and family yes. Maybe give some away to charity.

And yes, I do like bacon. Mmmm, bacon...

EDIT: Oh and I'd build the most awesome house in existence and travel the world.

I would buy land, house, and a new car. The rest of the money would go into interest barring accounts (anywhere between 2.5% and 5%). The average lottery here in Florida is around $20M. A 2.5% APR rate on $20M is $50,000 a year. Since I would already own my home, land, and car I wouldn't have to worry about any of the big three bills, and could live like a hog on 50k anually (minus taxes/fees/ect).

I would make charitable donations (mostly for the same reason large businesses do, but I would give to charities I give a crap about), and I would probably help my friends out a bit. I would not touch my primary though as this is what makes the lifestyle sustainable.

Bacon is friggin amazing. I can eat it in just about everything (I had chocolate bacon the other day). I just can't eat much of it as I can't handle greese. My stomach just says no after a little bit.

Are we talking mega-millions here? 'cause if you let them pay you over the years, you get a lot more, enough that you may never have to find a job.

But yeah, distribution would go as such:

50%-Bank
They pay you for having money. You literally cannot lose.

30%-Bills
If it accumulates over time (like in a bank) that should be enough.

10%-Tithing
'cause that's what it says in The Bible, and I believe the acceptance I find there is worth at least that much.

10%-Other
Mostly Vault and Cooler Ranch Doritos. Love 'em.

Spend time doing things that I loved, probably would never go to work again.
First thing I'd buy is a nice solid big wooden desk and a comfortable chair.
And I'd buy a cat, I've always wanted a "real" pet (not counting gold fish and such).
No, I do not like bacon, I hate it.

Don't tell anyone, set up a big party with personalised gifts for my closer friends, and invite them all over. Don't tell them what it's for, just tell them they really should turn up. Any that do get their expensive gifts tailored to their likes; the ones that ditch...payback's a *****.

Then move away, get a nice house, and occasionally give money away to homeless people on the street, maybe have impromptu games to win my charity for fun (in a non-exploitive way). Hell, set up a lot of money for my heirs, make something hopefully sustainable for generations. But, I would never be able to waste all that money on myself, and I wouldn't want to, so I imagine I'd be more than happy to share the fortune with those that need it.

Also, adopt an orphan, send them to butler school, and hire them full-time upon completion with promises of lifetime financial security and a place to call home.

That's what, $2 Million? Plenty to store away and spread around. I'm not going to be one of those rich people that hordes their money...for God's sake, there's people starving to death because they can't get a handful of change.

Buy games, cars, a decent bloody laptop, a new (modest but comfortable) house, a round the world cruise. I'd also give money out to my parents and my sister (sigh). Then I'd invest whatever's left. Hopefully quite a bit.
And yes, I love bacon.
...
In fact, scratch that, I would spend the whole lot ON BACON.

If I won somewhere around $10 million US dollars, I'd buy a comfortable house and a nice Ferrari. Next I would buy a huge gun safe, head down to the closest gun shop, and buy everything I like off of the racks, bring them home, then store them in my safe with tons of ammo.

I would then proceed to go on a trip around the world (in 80 days!).

Yes I would share some with my family and donate to certain foundations.

And yes, I like bacon!
