That was a good romping silly adventure movie, they don't make films like that any more (1980's and the Indiana Jones, Star Wars and Star Trek Movies) and to spite how hookey it is I love it for what it is.

Oh god, I'm reminded of The Last Crusade.

Why can't people make movies like these any more.

Maybe the American Godzilla movie made by Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich. If it wasn't called Godzilla it would have been in freakin' credible.
That's actually my old man's fav sci-fi film, and I think it was pretty awesome too (actually very plausible).

Good grief, they were all AA material... why does your circle hate them?

Uhh... Short Circuit...? Although my friends actually just hadn't heard of it...
Awww, I remember really enjoying that as a kid (haven't seen it in ages, but Jonny was sooo cute!).

OT: I enjoyed Robots (primarily for Jim Broadbent and Mel Brooks), but haven't yet encountered anyone else who liked it.

Wasn't the greatest movie of all time, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. I also thought the lead actor played the hell out of his role. I mean straight up awesome.

Odd captcha omminer Officer what does that even mean?

. Really liked Sucker Punch as well but have yet to find someone else who agrees.
I loved Sucker Punch. First, it was an awesome action movie, and the mind-bending that came from not seeing the reality was great to watch. Also, once you understand the meaning of the title, you get a new appreciation for the movie. I also don't see all of the "unfortunate implications" that it has.

That was the reaction of (almost) everyone I went to see that movie with (the one who didn't was a fan of the comics). It was so ridiculous about everything (can you take a movie seriously when a toilet spontaneously appears during a fight scene) that even Samuel L. Jackson topped himself in hamminess. It was such a fun movie to watch that I have difficulty seeing why people hated it so much -- they didn't do a serious adaptation because they realized that they really couldn't, so they decided to have some fun with it.

My circle hates those movies (Slumdog in particular) because they all won oscars, therefore they are automatically overrated.

BTW I enjoyed Robots as well. The street light choking to death was one of the funniest things I have seen in animation.
Well, I can understand where they're overrated, but don't think they deserve hate per se.

Anyway, yeah, Robots, the line that always comes to mind is Robin Williams going theatrically 'give me big anime eyes!' in a weird accent.

I felt like that movie was a lot better than people wanted to admit. I think everyone wanted it to be Sin City, but it was a lot less serious than they wanted. I enjoyed it, though.

I personally thought that the Book of Eli was the second best movie of 2010 (first was 127 Hours) and everyone hated it because they thought it was "religious." That's like calling Dogma a religious movie because it had Jesus in it.

I also think that Hot Rod is the funniest movie ever made. I've never seen another movie to make me laugh as hard.

MacGruber.

3:10 to Yuma.

Robin Hood with Russel Crowe.

Inglorious Bastards - Which I really don't understand. I thought it was fantastic, but the majority of my friends are the typical douchebag jocks that can't watch intelligent movies.

I like Daredevil and the Butterfly Effect. I thought the Butterfly Effect was decent and it had a good moral to it.
I though Daredevil was great during the early days of superhero movies and while other films like Ironman and Spiderman 2 were better comparing it now but I still think it's good.

I like all of these movies so you guys are not alone.

I actually liked Devil, and not because of "it's so bad it's good way" I generally liked it along with the Village.
