I know that feeling all too well...

Kinda weird for americans.....you are assumed to be responsible enough at a certain age to get married, serve your country, own firearms, drive, smoke etc. But you can only drink when you are 21. Legal wise.

I think that people who are in the military at the age of 18 should be able to drink here in the States, since there suppose to be mature. We have that age limit because theres too many idiots in America.

Good lord, they really allow people to drive at fourteen?!
That just seems completely insane to me. :S

My biology teacher was from South Dakota and to him it was natural for a person to drive at the age of 14 since it seems that people in that state are mature. Each state has different kinds of people to worry about.

Here in the UK I'm used to fourteen year olds who can't tell their head from their arse (No offence meant to any fourteen year olds who may be here, I'm sure you're all very nice people). I suppose if people mature faster mentally in different areas of the world the laws would also be different.

In Denmark it's 16.
At the age of 16 you are allowed to:
Have sex
Buy porn
Buy alcohol
drive scooters
and get your ass thrown in jail.

You can't buy cigarettes or drive a car until you're 18 though.

Yup and thats why America has weird laws, like drinking at the age of 21 cuz theres too many people who dont mature at all.

It was 14 under a few specific rules but recently it changed to 16 under a few less strict rules. still 18 'till total freedom.

It doesn't make much difference, I highly doubt two that consenting 15 year old's are going to be picked up by the police for screwing around under-age, even if their parents kick up a fuss. I know people as young as 12 who will screw anything that moves.

Here in Canada, I think it's 14, as long as you're the same age, and when you're 18 or older, age ceases to matter. Not like people give a crap about the age of consent.
