I would try it on PC but I don't like the idea of forking over another $20 just to (potentially) be disappointed.Rauten said:See, there's the problem.Corum1134 said:I bought the orange box for the 360 and was not impressed with any of it.

It wasn't Episode 3.Angus565 said:The thing I don't get is that people always complain about how long they take to relase games, then last year the release L4D2 and some people were boycotting it beacause it was released "Too Soon" Am I missing somthing?
But anyway, Quality is better then quantity. You are entitled to your oppinion but so are people who like Valve. Also you should really play Portal.
I recommend you play Portal. It is a short, fun, funny puzzle game, that is well worth the praise it gets.Blatherscythe said:Granted I haven't played Portal...
Not to be critical, but what have you been smoking? I know for a fact that VALVe made TF2, L4D, L4D2, etc. I know this because most of their other games had been put to the side-burner during their production/development. Such as Half-Life 2: Episode 3. They did L4D2 instead of working of Episode 3.Sgt. Sykes said:Agreed.
HL1 was excellent for its time. I've tried to play HL:S recently and didn't have nearly as much fun as I expected. Still, the original HL is truly a classic. (OF was a bit better though).
But that was basically their last game!
TF, CS, CS:S, DoD, DoD:S, TF2, L4D, L4D2, Portal - none of these is Valve's. All of these games have begun like a mod or an independent project, and Valve just bought them later. I'm glad they did so with Portal; CS:S is also a good job, but otherwise, why the hell such praise?
And HL2, well that was kinda sorta passable for being a new thing... EP1 was just utter crap and EP2 I didn't even finish, I got so freakin' bored.
Also, to spend 10 years to create a mod of a mod of a mod (TF2) just to remove grenades is really ridiculous.
Yeah, I could rant about Valve for weeks.
... either I applaud you for a very well done satirical post, or I'm gonna get a needle and jab it under your nails for being no better than the bashers.Contun said:What's the big deal? Their games are fun. They love their fans. Look at all the updates for TF2. Look at the DLC for L4D. (The L4D2 boycott never happened, it's all a lie.) They truely care for us. They may take a while to get their games on the shelves, but they want it to be perfect for us. They don't want to let us down.
You disagree?!YOU HERETIC!That's called an opinion, everyone has one, but none are exactly the same.
Welcome to teh internetz.
While it may not have been as good, the thing about L4D2 is it's still not bad.Dr. Paine said:Probably because the gaming community at large has yet to find a Valve game that wasn't worth the wait. (Left 4 Dead 2 is the freak exception, because it was shoved out in less than a year, and has since become the designated buttmonkey for Valve games.)Blatherscythe said:Alright why do we all seem to love Valve so much? They take a long time to produce a single game and yet they are never really criticized if the game was not worth the wait.
I agree on Portal. I loved it (still loved the rest of the games, but Portal just has a special place in my heart). However, the game idea was before they got recruited into the VALVe team. It was called Nebecular Drop, if I'm correct? Anyways, they developed Poral while in the VALVe team.Monkeyman8 said:b-b-b-balls of steel! Don't like valve, never enjoyed their games with the freak exception of portal which I don't consider a valve game. (if you know the story behind the portal dev team you'll know why)
