We have the Roman Baths (Romans=awesome).
As does my hometown. What's yours? (PS Mines Bath)
Hehe, I'm from Bath too, I live in Bathampton atm.
Sweet. Its been an age since I've lived in that area (not since I was a baby really) but when I go back I stay with a friend in Malmesbury. Went to WOMAD round there last summer.

Amesbury Massachusetts was the leading suppler of horse drawn carriages in America before the model T was invented. Isn't that exiting!

Our chemical plant blew up about 2 years ago. We made national news!

Seriously though, what dumbass leaves an exothermic chemical in the sun when its combustion temperature is 15 degrees?

I was Unaware Louisville had anything to do w/ the turkey overlord resistance. What exactly is that? Cause Louisville does have the biggest bat. Any other city have a giant bat I'm unaware of?

There's a Marine base and some seagulls. One time I saw a live deer. That's about it.

My hometown (in Kentucky) once had a chapter of the KKK in it. That is until they set a local black man's house on fire, someone who the townsfolk liked. As it turns out, the townsfolk ended up hanging some of the KKK members from an old railroad bridge. There hasn't been a KKK chapter in my town since.

Nothing at all good. I'm in the most drugged up, under-educated, chavvy, racist spot on the entire island. The only badass thing here is... well... nothing. We succeed at making every other spot in the country, and possibly the world, look like Badasston, Awesomeville and Kickass City.

Well I grew up in Portland, Oregon. Matt Groening the creator of The Simpsons is from here and a lot of the characters are named after streets in Portland.
Respect. :D

We also have the second largest copper statue in the United States after the Statue of Liberty, but ours is totally better because she has a trident. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:portlandia.jpg]

Yeah, that's about all I've got. As a city, Portland's history isn't very badass.

I'm from a small town in Sweden called Örnsköldsvik (about 50 000 people) and we don't do much awesome things but in 2008 we had a huge Star Wars exhibition... Oh, wait we got some great hockey players too!

We kept Charles 1st here when he was being chased by Cromwell and his mates, at that time it became the capital of England because the King was living there.

We beat Liverpool and Chelsea and almost won the FA cup before losing to Cardiff. Yeah one of our biggest achievement was almost winning. Ho and the person who wrote chocolate came from here along with the guy who invented the beer pump and the flushing water closet according to wikipedia Joseph Bramah was his name.

Vancouver, BC.

We're hosting the Olympics with more protesters trying to extinguish the Olympic Flame then Athletes trying to honour it. Oh, and more free live bands, music gigs, galleries, and activities to go do than the hours it'll take to watch any sports! It's an Olympics for All! You don't have to like SPORTS, come for the shows!

In other news, we also have practically every policeman, corrections officer, sheriff, and security guard in the country. Doing crowd control. Yep!

And how they get an outdoor ice rink to work in Rainy Springtime Vancouver has to be some form of dark magic. Or freaky good chemistry.

it's the fictional hometown of this guy in the future.

so yeah, what do you have?
In reality, Umm... we started Shay's Rebellion. And Recently Edge of Darkness was filmed in my town. My town is also known as the asparagus capital of the world, so that's something to be proud of I guess. We're also the Lesbian Capital of the northeast XD Calvin Cooladge was born in my town. A webcomic that I've never heard of but it's wikipedia page said won many awards is set in my town- "questionable content"- anyone heard of it? I got a million of em!

Saints Row and Saints Row 2 were made here. Home to Volition Inc. Ooh ooh! And we have this really obnoxious "holiday" called unofficial St. Patrick's Day, which is always held the weekend before spring break and was created by the... wait for it... bars. At least one person dies every year, countless people are hospitalized and I cannot go to campus without having green beer handed to me.

Travesty I tell you. The least they could do is blare the Pogues out as I drive around, but noooo! I must hear drunken frat boys warble U2 songs at the top of their lungs as they string green beads on each other. Sorry for the rant, but I am reminded that this is coming up soon.
