What's the deal with Snake?

I'm about to walk through a pit of starving polar bears covered in seal guts... but I dare ask the question.

Is Snake from MGS... homosexual?

I admit, I've never played a MGS game before but watched my friends play many-a-hour on it. I appriciat the sheer awesomeness of Snake but a lot of circulation is going about that he is gay. While it doesn't change my image on him in the slightest I was wondering if this was true.

What led me to these deductions:

and Metal Gear Awesome 1 and 2 had a lot of Gay jokes spread around about him. Also I hear you 'groap' peoples balls in number 4.

Is there an explination for these? Is he homosexual? Or am I about to be eaten by the polar bears of the internet?

Snake isn't gay, he's a soldier. I had an uncle just like Snake, and he was happily married with three children. Soldiers act differently then other people, that's all.

I won't say Snake is full blown 'bath house' gay, but I won't write him out of the 'republican' version of gay (the one where you've been married for 30 years, had 5 kids, but still end up asking for 'toilet paper' from the stall next to you: also known as repressed bisexuality). Mostly because he is a nice piece of eye candy, for an old guy.

Is this because he drags corpses in a humorous way, and that he has a best friend that he's close to?
Or is it because he didn't drop his pants immediately when Meryl asked for his...trouser snake, when under control from Psycho Mantis?

Mantis, having read snake's mind, explains it well.
Snake, unlike ALL OTHER HUMANS ON EARTH, more or less, has NO reproductive instincts. He doesn't want to further his genes, he doesn't care. He feels closely for Meryl and Otacon, in different ways, but neither is sexual in nature.

Snake is not gay, he is asexual.

Edit: Reproductive, not recreative. He raises huskies for recreation.

Firstly, Ctrl+Alt+Del is the worst web-comic ever made, probably.

Lastly, Snake isn't homosexual... it's not as if there is any over-convincing evidence to support this claim anyway. He's the man!

Never seen any evidence that he's gay. As far as I gathered they removed all of the desire for love etc when they made the ultimate soldier out of Big Boss' DNA. So he doesn't want anything from anyone like that.

The "is Snake gay" question doesn't make sense to me. It's an aspect of the character that is never explored and thus doesn't apply to the storyline or the characters as we understand them.

To put it another way, what about the game would change if there was a definite answer, up or down?
