Banned from Halo 3's matchmaking for exp boosting. I found that rather interesting. Why? Read on:
I was helping some clan mates get the last few achievements in Social. I don't play Halo 3 much any more, but I helped out since they needed extra players.
We played about 20 games, and in total I got a net gain of about 7 experience, since I either threw the match for them to win, or we all quit out if the map or gametype was awful/unnecessary. We filled both teams, so we weren't affecting anyone else's game.
At the end of the night, I got a notification that I had been banned from gaining experience for two weeks, for boosting it.
Now, first of all - 7 experience from legitimate games isn't what I'd call boosting. Second, I'm a Brigadier grade 2, I don't need experience. Third, I was in a full party and played numerous games with said party, not encroaching on anyone else's games or ruining it for anyone. Lastly, why weren't some of the other guys who earned more experience in the same match streak banned? It simply banned me and one of the other guys. Regardless, I didn't care-I don't play Halo much and I don't care about experience, and never did.
A few days later, a friend came on who I hadn't played with in ages, so we jumped in social and played a few matches, I helped him get a few achievements along the way as well.
A message then popped up saying I was banned from matchmaking entirely for two weeks, for boosting my experience. Now, re-read my post thus far - The system thinks I was exp boosting, so it stops me earning exp for two weeks. During said two weeks, I was banned for boosting the exp that I couldn't gain. That makes a whole lot of sense.
I mean, that's like getting fined for speeding in your car, getting the car taken off you, and then getting banned from driving for speeding when you didn't even have your car any more.

Oh, I also got banned from a BF2 server for sneezing while my mic was turned on.
