Bottle Shock.

A movie set in the Napa Valley and France, in 1976 when the Napa Valley wine was voted better than French wine by French judges. Funny in parts, and really shows just how far international wine has come since the days where the French ruled the world. Stars: Allan Rickman, Bill Pullman and Eliza Dushku.

8/10.

At home: Can't remember if it was Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children or Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen, either way, both 10/10.

At the movies: Inglorious Basterds, pretty good, 7/10.
I desperately hope you're kidding on that first part.
Is the idea of someone having a different opinion to yours so hard to comprehend?

I just saw ninja assassin. holy freakin crap. b-l-o-o-d-y.
honestly, the acting was lacking, the fighting was..generic(it suffered from bad guy backround dancing while they attacked the main character 1 at a time. i facepalmed.) the blood was soooo heavily cgi that i was kinda wondering if asians wern't actually made of cgi by the end(which would explain alot) and honestly what kind of ninja trips? i mean its funny and all but if i were in charge of a ninja mission,i would leave Timmy the retard behind. All in al the movie itself was nothing special(except that they had the better part of 300 condensed into the first 5 minutes of the film) but they got the point across. Don't Fuck with Ninjas!

8/10 because I'm afraid that if i give it a bad rating i might get a letter with black sand in it. That's a bad thing.

Trick r' Treat

I was expecting something more along the lines of Creepshow but no: I had trouble getting into the movie though. The overall plot was a bit messy and seemed to be a bunch of thimbs-ups to other horror movies like Ginger Snaps and The Omen

3/5 mainly because of atmosphere

I watched half of No Country For Old Men, then my friend called and I went to the bar. Seemed like a very odd movie to me, especially the guy with the air tank.

300. It was on... TBS? Some channel.
I give it a 8/10. It was trying to be artsy but sold itself on violence. And it had too many half-naked men. Still it was interesting and it almost pulled off its emotional points.

Home - IP Man (which is, ironically, not a movie about internet providers)

Transformers: Rise of the Fallen
2/5

I sincerely hate how they look, as if they're over-detailed which further makes them stick out rather too unnaturally, as if they're supposed to look CG rather than like actual machines. The sound effects kept doing this skipping thing that made me wonder if post-production audio was managed by a nightclub DJ scratching away on a turntable. The acting was ho-hum, even from Shia (and I happen to think he's a talented guy), Megan Fox was predictably dull (she's not even eye-candy imo), and Turturro (another great talent wasted!) acted less military and more like a cross between Wiley Coyote and Mr Magoo. The plot sucked, the special effects were unimpressive but at least looked expensive, and overall I was actually offended by some of the "humor" they threw in (and I'm a Stern fan FFS) be it unabashedly sexual or inexplicably racial. Seriously, if they're going to make those two cars act like dumb ghetto stereotypes they could at least make their range of humor extend beyond the robot equivalent of Jar Jar Stepin Fetchit one-liners or admitting to robot illiteracy (hurr hurr hurrrrr).

TL;DR
No, sir, I didn't like it!

Batman MAsk of the Phantasm.

Very good, the action scenes especially, coupled with some great music make for a very good film.

If you're a fan of the DCAU I'd recommend it for you.

My Cousin Vinny, It's my girlfriends favorite movie.
To be honest I wasn't really paying attention, but I liked the brooklyn accent.
I wonder why? :p

For me it was Yes Man.
Amazingly funny film, typical Jim Carrey.
5/5

I've been going through the John Hughes movies lately and I think they're all worth watching. Anything he directed/produced from the 80's. Also doing the "brat pack" films that are outside of Hughes'dom.

I'm 27 and sometimes I feel all teenage angst and nostalgia. 3.5/5 for Uncle Buck and Weird Science is next.

A Serious Man.

One part entertaining, one part hillarious, countless parts confusing.
