I undrestand what you wrote in the spoiler tag, and that sure seems unfinished, but you also mentioned a finished ending. Does that mean that there are two different endings to the manga or something?TizzytheTormentor said:Didn't you read the spoiler tag?Queen Michael said:I don't understand. What's a finished ending and an unfinished one?TizzytheTormentor said:The finished ending (the last dozen of chapters known as Kang Zen Bang) is a tad rushed, but very enjoyable and wraps everything up nicely.Queen Michael said:How did that one end?TizzytheTormentor said:...but it wasn't the worst *remembers Shaman Kings unfinished ending*
In the manga, halfway through fighting the patch officiants to get to Hao, Manta wakes up from a dream about "princess" Hao and remarks how strange it was, he finds Anna and Anahol on a beach, them getting ready to go to Yoh and his friends, he gets ready to go with them...then it stops.
Literally ends there, before the series could have a conclusion, the finished ending was great though.
Hao won the tournament, he is going to be crowned Shaman King and be infused with the great spirit, he will be unconscious during this time, this is when Yoh believes this is their only shot at beating Hao, but to get to him, they must fight all 10 patch officiants, they fight the first few, then reach Kalim, who invites them to rest before fighting him, the gang has a playful fight with each other...that's the last we see of them.
It was unfinished because they never completed their goal, they never reached Hao, never got fought the other officiants, no closure was given to the abrupt stop in the manga. They never got a last (and most certainly expected) confrontation with Hao, never fought Silva, we never know what happens, instead, abruptly stopping.
Give Katekyo Hitman Reborn some credit, it had closure (although it wasn't great closure)
The manga author Hiroyuki Takai, finished his manga by adding the last dozen of chapters, ending the series at 300 chapters. He is at work on a sequel series called Shaman King: Flowers, currently on it's second print in Japan.
