...but it wasn't the worst *remembers Shaman Kings unfinished ending*
How did that one end?
The finished ending (the last dozen of chapters known as Kang Zen Bang) is a tad rushed, but very enjoyable and wraps everything up nicely.

In the manga, halfway through fighting the patch officiants to get to Hao, Manta wakes up from a dream about "princess" Hao and remarks how strange it was, he finds Anna and Anahol on a beach, them getting ready to go to Yoh and his friends, he gets ready to go with them...then it stops.

Literally ends there, before the series could have a conclusion, the finished ending was great though.
I don't understand. What's a finished ending and an unfinished one?
Didn't you read the spoiler tag?
Hao won the tournament, he is going to be crowned Shaman King and be infused with the great spirit, he will be unconscious during this time, this is when Yoh believes this is their only shot at beating Hao, but to get to him, they must fight all 10 patch officiants, they fight the first few, then reach Kalim, who invites them to rest before fighting him, the gang has a playful fight with each other...that's the last we see of them.

It was unfinished because they never completed their goal, they never reached Hao, never got fought the other officiants, no closure was given to the abrupt stop in the manga. They never got a last (and most certainly expected) confrontation with Hao, never fought Silva, we never know what happens, instead, abruptly stopping.

Give Katekyo Hitman Reborn some credit, it had closure (although it wasn't great closure)

The manga author Hiroyuki Takai, finished his manga by adding the last dozen of chapters, ending the series at 300 chapters. He is at work on a sequel series called Shaman King: Flowers, currently on it's second print in Japan.
I undrestand what you wrote in the spoiler tag, and that sure seems unfinished, but you also mentioned a finished ending. Does that mean that there are two different endings to the manga or something?

Finished reading "Gunslinger Girl" and I have to say the whole series depressed the shit out of me. There is something about child assassins that just sickens me, I don't know it just wasn't my type of series.

Wow, that was a while ago...
I think it was Mirrai Nikki? The one with the future diaries and the crazy eyeball man, that one.

It was pretty good. Weird at times, and it got fucking convoluted and dumb towards the end, but I read through all of it, and that's saying something I guess.

Mine was Legend of Koizumi.

Probably the most ridiculous thing I have read ever, in a good way.

Psyren

Although, that was forced to end early due to "lack of interest". The author still managed to wrangle a decent ending though.

Anyone who enjoys a good shounen manga, Psyren comes with my highest recomendation.

Egomaniac celebrities, pyrokinetics with inferiority complexes and time travel

Shingetsutan Tsukihime was one I just finished it had cool concepts but at time it could be somewhat confusing but that may be due to the translation or the authors love of writing a simple concept with 500 words too.

Ichi The Killer A crazy manga to be sure it mingling of perversion and violence was well done.

The last manga that I finished reading was Molester Man. I almost missed this gem due to its misleading title, it is a hilarious story of a guy's misadventures in Tokyo trying to get closer to the girl he was mistaken for stalking. "Molester Man" and "Miss Understanding" are simply pseudonyms the author uses. This is a romance story so down to earth I can't recommend it enough.

Again, this manga is balls to the walls hilarious, give it a whirl :D

First of all I'm gonna nitpick because I have nothing better to do with my life: It's "Death Note;" there's no plus sign. And book 13 of Death Note isn't an epilogue, it's a book of facts about the series. Though it does contain the pilot for the manga. And the manga did get a sequel one-shot, but that's never been officially translated into English.

Now, on the subject of Petshop of Horrors, you're 100% right about the quality. It's great. There's a sequel too; "Petshop of Horrors: Tokyo," wich isn't as good but still great. Unfortunately, they're not that easy to find anymore since the American publisher, Tokyopop, went bankrupt.
The side-ways T's in the title threw me off. I'm aware of Petshop of Horrors: Tokyo but only have...maybe two or three of those. To further illustrate how long it's been since I picked up manga regularly, Tokyopop went bankrupt!? Either way, Petshop-Tokyo is probably easier to find than say, Fist of the Blue Sky. Thanks for the compliment about my taste in manga! I may or may not get into Rosario+Vampire because netflix...the manga has to end more satisfactorily than the anime...

Last manga I've seen finish, as opposed to simply not being updated, were Heads and Region.
A guy gets shot in the head and receives an experimental surgery to replace the damaged tissue with that of a brain slice from a donor. Then, struggles to maintain his personality as the donor's will begins to take over.
It's was by the same guy who did BioMeat: Nectar and holds essentially the same plot; Disaster happens, swarms of [things] start eating people, shows humanity's capacity for both selfishness and selflessness.
Both were good and worth a read.

Uh.

The last manga I finished? That would be Fullmetal Alchemist. And I thought it was awesome. The ending was a bit weird, but after some thought I was able to reconcile it with the tone of the rest of the series and so continued on without complaint. The way it resolved (and didn't resolve) the characters' journeys was good as well.

At this point, the only manga I really read is Claymore. Not a whole lot on my list.

I read Rosario+Vampire a while ago. Perfectly decent ending.

Holy spit, someone else who's read Heads! I haven't finished it, though. Didn't even know it was finished.

I never finished it, but it's the only one I've read so...

I read two volumes into the Battle Royale manga before giving up on it because I hated having to read from right to left.

I'm up to date on a bunch but I think the last one I finished was either Young Gun Carnival (which I thought was excellent and far too short) or Gunmania (which is fucking insane and only four chapters but worth reading for the dialogue).

Battle Royale. As a big fan of the movie I was pleased to hear a few months ago that there was a manga adaptation.

Very grim, dark, psychological with not too many "manga tropes". Even better than the movie in many aspects. Still not read the novel yet, so can't comment on how well it holds up towards the original story.

Edit: Almost forgot!

Gyo. Short story, won't take more than an hour to read through. Worth it if you are interested in some of the more odd ones.

IGYOUJIN ONIWAKAMARU! So good, you have to read it! From the same guy who gave us the badass manga Tough.
Only 4 volumes though, the end is a little rushed... was expecting a better boss fight.

Stardust Crusaders(JBA part 3):It has some very creative fights and it's nice to see Joesph as a bad ass grandpa. However I really didn't care about any of the main group except Joesph and to some extent Jotaro. Plus it never gives you a real break from the fights and there are a massive amount of fights. It's a fun read but looking back it was sub-par outside of the fights.

Whistle. I just finished Whistle. One of the most charming Shounen manga I've had the pleasure of reading.
