GemCraft - Chasing shadows, was a brilliant little gem I fell over on Steam when I looked at the reviews it had gotten while it was on sale.

After the disappointment of Seven Deadly Sins going into full retard shounen anime mode
My rule is, the moment there's a "hilarious" awkward boob grab or faceplant, I'm out.
Seven Deadly Sins and Magi both failed that test in record time.

This: http://sttngfashion.tumblr.com/tagged/season-1 has given me much joy lately, mostly because I'm watching TNG for the first time.
Everything is hilarious.

Coup turned out to be a really good, brief card game.

And started listening to PMJ, sadly well after tickets were sold out here. Tasty, tasty covers

True, that kind of thing grates on my nerves a lot too. Seven Deadly Sins at least had something of an original setup and a few intriguing questions to keep me going, but Christ, every time that happened I groaned aloud. I only read the Magi manga (quit after about 200 chapters because it started stretching itself), and it had the advantage of being able to just ignore fanservice panels, which you can't do when watching TV series.

OT: Finished the first season of Better Call Saul yesterday. Loved it. It's slow paced, sure, but it's so well written I don't care. And I found myself genuinely invested in Jimmy and Chuck's relationship.

Can I bring up food?
If we can, then yes for me too. Yesterday I decided to get some takeaway because it has been a while and I noticed a new place was in my food-ordering-app. It was apparently some slow food place that only had 3 dishes, rotating them out with each week, not even that much more expensive than a decent pizza.

So I decided to go for their Flemish stew with jacket potatoes & butter and homemade apple sauce. And when I dug in...

God. Damn. Not only was the best takeaway experiences I ever had, it was simply one of the best meals I've ever had. Good lord that shit was good.

I've kind of gotten into Big Pharma, which is basically a simple economic strategy game with a built in puzzle aspect.

I've been playing it inadvisable amounts. Please help.

Orange Is the New Black. A lot of the third season is dull, honestly, but overall a funny if not pessimistic show. Red is probably my favorite character, played by Kate Mulgrew.

The great little game that is Gunpoint. Few games I've played in recent years have been as fluid and smooth as this game. You feel like the coolest cat in town everytime you have an elevator to open a door to trap a guard, allowing you to sneak away unnoticed. It's also got a fab soundtrack both in and out of hacking mode.

Started reading Plastic Nee-San recently, this is the same amount of fun that I had since reading Beelzebub I must say.

Finished BroForce recently, my god is this game and its Soundtrack just pure amazing. Every character is fun to play (Though I struggle sometimes with Broddock) and they included the Rocketeer! The Rocketeer alone earned about a thousand points of goodwill from me and I'm planning on buying the soundtrack as an extra showing of that, plus the Undertale soundtrack.

Watched The Revenant as well, not much going on for the plot but the intensity is there, and DAMN THAT BEAR ATTACK WAS.....Wait For It....GRIZZLY!

Oh and back to games, I've recently bought Another World, courtesy of seeing Yahtzee's Judging By The Cover and I have no regrets. Haven't finished it yet, stuck on the part with the ceiling and floor teeth along with that large wall with the crack and the water possibly overflowing but in any case I'm having a blast with this game (Get it? Get it?)

An honorable mention will be watching Lets Plays again, courtesy of Super Best Friends Play. I used to watch TheSw1tcher when it was just Matt and Patt with Woolie occasionally being there and from then till now I still love it. These guys are just so fun to listen to, regardless of how the style changed.

Two things come to mind. Gaming and Producing electronic music.

I recently got back into gaming as a thing. I fell out of it due to a crappy laptop and no internet connection for a few years. Lately I've been gaming like a trojan (if they had computers).

My recent gaming obsessions that spring to mind are...
XCom EW, which I have the habit of playing every couple of months. I don't think I'm going to play it again until the 2nd one comes out. It looks pretty awesome though I take solace in the fact that if they screw up this one I can always go back to EW.
Fallout 4, which is not as good as F3 or New Vegas IMO. though that didn't stop me from playing close on 50 hours for my first play through. Gotta love Fallout.
Dungeon of the Endless. One of the best, most difficult and strategic games I've played recently. Took me 22 hours to win once, so either I'm just crap or that game is fantastic. Actually either way that game is fantastic.

When I'm not gaming I'm usually either mixing tracks or producing them - it's like lego but with noises. I started out using Reason 5 for one or two years, and recently downloaded a free DAW called Reaper 5. Not too much to say on that except that making a dope-ass track is an amazing feeling.

The other day at work a girl I work with lifted up her shirt ostensibly to show her friend her new bra. I Really liked that.

Anyway I've actually been enjoying Diablo 3 a bit. Strangely it seam like the game gets better the more patches come out. My brother also turned me onto a new band that I rater like. Kobra and the Lotus kind of a silly name, but they do fall squarely into that whole heavy/power metal sound that I really like. Also one of the few female singers that I've come across that I really like.

Indeed it actually does. The game has constantly been improved even since its launch which, as we all know, wasn't very well received. But since then D3 has turned into a very different game. It's pretty much redone already with almost all of the mechanics having been touched and changed, and in major ways, at that.

I can only be impressed at how much work and effort Blizzard put in it. In a way, Blizzard is the only developer I know of who would be both willing and capable of essentially redoing the entire game. Kudos to them. I may not like all the decisions they make but I cannot deny that they also have a certain eye for perfection and quality that they want to maintain.

I discovered that Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle Cars got a sequel- Rocket League. Sure, I might be a bit late to the party and it's pretty much identical to the original, but it's one of the only games I've ever really loved online (Splatoon is basically game-heroin, but I'm not buying a Wii U) and it's only going to get more fun as I start to suck less.
