The cries of headcrab zombies when theyre on fire still sends chills down my spine... eugh.

as for the sickest thing,
*Manhunt... I tried playing that game and... that shit was hard to get through. and I didnt play much of it.
*I remember there was a mission in GTA2 I think? (one of the top-downs) where you had to bring people to a factory and turn them into sausage/meat... ugh. That scarred me as a child.
*Giygas... motherfuckin Giygas... that boss just terrified me, and is burned into my soul...
proof of how amazing that game is though! If only it wasnt so hard to get a hand on... or any of that series.

This. I could barely bring myself to do it, I mean the game kind of trains you to depend on it and then makes you kill it?
Seriously..?
Gory stuff that's supposed to gross you out never bothers me, it's the psychological stuff that is far more effective on me.

The detail in Left 4 Dead 2, I mean I shot a zombie where his dick is for the hell of it and his intestines fell out.
Agree. L4D2 - just brutal.

Gimble from Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines was fairly sick. Not so much in the way of bloody violence, but a great deal of it was implied. That said, he does hit you with a leg...

Yeaah, but it's not deeply psychological. It's a joke. You do know that the whole plot in Portal was comedy, right?

The new gore system in Left 4 Dead 2.

Even as a hardcore veteran I cringe every time I see into the exposed spine and hip socket of an Infected from behind.
It is pretty intense. And by intense I mean awesome.

Well Duh.

Let me break it down for you. I don't react to things that are supposed to freak people out or whatever. Horror and violent games are amusing to me and so was Portal. All I'm saying is that is the sickest thing because it actually left an impression, most games that attempt a psychological impact don't pull it of well if at all (SH2 is the only other I feel pulled it off). However humorously that sequence was done it actually got the desired effect, the game wanted me to feel dependant on the cube and feel uncomfortable about killing the cube and I did. Simple really. Games rarely make me feel uncomfortable about doing anything and I almost always do the evilist thing I can manage because it's just pixels. But faced with killing the cube I was very reluctant.

I can't even think of anything else that would have you kill an innocent companion, regardless of who or what it is. I'm sure there is one but obviously I didn't care about it or them.

The only thing I can think of at the moment is Dr Steinmans scene in bio shock. If you've played the game you'll know what I mean. (By the way, I hear there is worse stuff in the game, but I haven't played that far into it yet)
" I want to make them beautiful, BUT THEY ALWAYS TURN OUT WRONG. This one, too fat, this one, too tall, and this one, too symetrical. And now.... What's this goddess? An intruder, he is ugly, ugly, ugly, UGLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!"
I admit THAT was probably my biggest "oh, crap!" moment in gaming.

I know this isnt a particularly freaky bit but you guys have exausted all the other cool bits in gaming [-_-] but the medical ward scene from Dead Space 1, [SPOILER!!!!!!!!!] there is a chick, covered in blood sawing off a guy's leg as he just lays there in agony screaming in pain, she's just laughing like a child, once the dude dies [I'll guess because of the MASSIVE amount of blood everywhere in the little glass buble chamber they are in] she gigles like a school girl and slits her own throat with the lazer blade and falls, gurgling, to the floor.

Indeed I do. I kept expecting to be rescued before anything really bad happened. I was horrified.

Gore doesn't bother me in games. I've never had a moment where I've had to pause the game, take a break, whatever. Just something that doesn't weird me out.

That is a good one. That was the first game I played where my character was brutally murdered right in front of me. Dead Space death scenes are really disgusting, I would get queasy just watching them. Makes you hate dying.

Gotta be the torture scene in the darkness especially with the drill
That was way messed up, love how the whole thing was from first person perspective too, left alot to your imagination.

God yes, I remember after that when you're supposed to go to the Morgue. I saw the sign that said "Morgue" and just saved+exited right there. Didn't play again for a few days. Maternity ward psycho level and now you want me to go where? Nah, fuck you dude.
