Well, outside of the obvious flamebait....

I'd say it was the childish belief / fear that a volcano would erupt from under our house and kill everyone I knew and destroy the city.

Yeah, I was 4 at the time. And seeing as the closest volcano is on the other side of Europe it wasn't exactly rational.

If you say cheese slowly it sounds like gulliable.
Really? I tried it and it's not working. What accent do you have? Or, what dialect do you have? Cheegulliblese! See - it's just not working.

Now, tell me how to do it or I'm reporting for lies.
You've fell into the trap there. It's a test to see who's gullible, it's like saying 'twatssaywhat' really fast and then laughing when someone says 'what?'. Sorry, but you just got pwned. Sort of.
I'm aware, and I hope the jokey side of my post wouldn't go unnoticed. After all, I wouldn't report him for lying.

You fell into my gullible trap there. Sorry, but you just got pwned. Sort of.
Oooooh, that's clever. Evil, but clever. Well done :)

EDIT: As an afterthought, I guess you've earned it. (Gives Gilbert a huge plate of cookies)

Enjoy :D

Wow! I have moments like that as well. Does that make me sane or does that make you a Housebroken Lunatic as well? : /
No, it means that the gods made you agree with me because they think if it is a common feeling that a lot of people have then it is less credible. But I am on to them! MWAHAHAHAHA
Hehe, okay, if it gives you a reason to get up in the morning. :p

When I was 4 or 5, there was this christmas television programme on... In Denmark, we have christmas calendars associated with these shows that air every day in december, until the 24th(dunno if it's the same elsewhere).
Anyway, that years christmas calendar had surfaces you could scratch each day, and it would release a smell, that accompanied specific scenes in the television series. So, you would watch the series, and a yellow square would appear in one corner of the screen, that meant that now it was time to scratch your calendar, and if the people in the series was cooking, you could smell food, and whatever...
Anyways, my parents, the untrustworthy bastards, convinced little me that it was the square on the television I was supposed to scratch, so for the first week or so, I'd gead over to the tv when the square was there, and start scratching on the screen, and sniff it.
I'm still embarassed.

I once thought i might find a topic on here with worthy discussion, alas!
Yes extremely silly to believe. Because you are such an important person who has to think carefully over what is worthy of your time... :p

That everything in my mom's garden could be dissolved in water then drunk to give me super powers. I tell you now it worked very well, but then we moved :(

I still believe that I am the only real person in the universe. That every one and every thing just disappears the moment it is out of my sight. That the gods are just doing this to test me. So all these other "people" are just pretend to see how I react to different situations and to make me believe that the universe is real.
If you are the only person now, then what came before you? and what shall come after you?

Oh yeah. Totally agree with you there. Life would be so easy if you were simply convinced that if you follow some divine rules you'll have a pleasant afterlife to look forward to rather than the empty blackness of complete oblivion and the destruction of your mental self...

I mean, did you guys even try?

On topic, I used to believe that plants were just as smart as humans. Which lead to me getting angry when they wouldn't talk to me.
