Whats the worst thing you've seen somebody do on a bus?

Good lord...This thread is making a good example of why I refuse to use public transportation; even with my pro stance on environmentalism. The last time I took the bus, it was the school bus and nothing really sticks out well enough for me to remember.

Its not all bad dude, its just the odd few who have no self respect or respect for the people around them.

EDIT: and the druggies... which not all of them are bad, but livin in ireland, it may be stereotyping but if i see somebody with a hoodie, a cap and tracksuit all matching and generally have a mean look on your face. keep the hell away from me.

Saw an old woman pick quarter sized skin flake out of her hair, then deposit it in a small felt bag.

There was one kid in my high school that claimed he could touch his eyeball, unfortunately during his demonstration the bus backed into a curb, he's lucky to still have that eye.

I've literally kicked the teeth out of some kid that attacked me in my grade school days. At least he still had his baby teeth so it shouldn't be a problem for him today.

Other than those I've seen a variable cornucopia of nutcases on the public bus, but the best thing I have ever seen is a guy actually surfing the public bus complete with jumps and tricks.

Well this thread is interesting... I mostly took a bus from a quiet village to a small town... so not much happened, the literal worst thing that happened was a bunch of chavs tried to start on me (I'm a good amount over 6 foot in height and played alot of rugby at the time), needless to say I took the piss for 5 minutes then put my earphones back in and ignored them... exciting

Well, I travel to work by bus, and not too long ago I was sitting in a seat that basically has another set of seats facing you. Well I sat there and this overweight lady smelling of old booze and ashtray sat in front of me. Well, I just continued to listen to my (not-stolen) iPod and looked out the window until suddendly she sneezes. Only that she didn't face away from anyone, nor did she cover it up with a hand or anything. So yeah, thanks for the slime-bath, lady.

Could be a country thing. Here they prefer to live on the outside with shacks they make (like a shanty town). The president and the region district managers gave them houses, but they all end up fuckign things up (getting ways to get money from the free homes they got), and go back to the shacks...

In here i never saw a gypsie that didn't steal or beat people up. There are some kids in the area that beat up a women just because she didn't gave her cigars. Also another man who was beeing mugged kicked 4 gypsies ass (he was a fighter, not sure if takewdo or something else), and they just got all the family with maces and firearms and beat the man to a pulp. Even little kids were kicking the man when he was in the floor.

It was rather discussing to see that kind of crap. Even i got kicked, mugged and almost killed by them.

So sorry if i dislike gypsies a lot... it's not a unreaseneble hate... it's a true hate created by things they've done that i've seen and that they've doned to me.

So yeah... sorry.

Don't forget that that kind of behavior comes from generation after generation of being labeled as violent thieving wastes of space, being the most prosecuted and prejudiced group of people in the planet doesn't exactly give them a whole lot of opportunity, which leads to poverty, crime, etc, it all comes from somewhere

Well I shouldn't say this was disgusting, but it was a live altering culture shock. I was on the way too long bus ride from Trononto (Cananda), to Grand Rapids (US, Michigan) on the couches to the right of me were 2 couples non of the four people were older then 19. Yet both the couples were married, and both of the women were pregnant. Okay I could kind of understand this, you accidentally knock up your girlfriend, and you choice to raise it instead of abort it, and decide to get married. Not something that I would do, but I could understand. But get this, both couples were married BEFORE the women got pregnant. Why on earth would you do that? Even worse the two guys were cheerfully chatting about FREAKING DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS. How could they not be freaking out!

Not a bus but a tram, but I guess that's fine for the context, right? Anyway I just managed to board the last tram to the outskirts of town during carnival when a drunk and disorderly football supporter that was probably tripping on half a dozen narcotic substances howed in through the front port and, without warning or any sign of prior contemplation, opened his trenchcoat to reveal his naked form underneath. To add insult to injury, he started parading down the aisle while warbling the national anthem, urinating on the people as he went along. When a group of people stood up - me included - and the flabbergasted tram operator came to manage the situation, the guy dropped a log of shit on the floor in front of the irate crowd that one of the guys coming after him slipped and fell on, and without a change of pace or song, he nakedly walked right out the back port again as it was about to close, ambling back onto the street.

It made the papers next morning, because it turned out he was found dead two streets from where he got on, from an overdose not two hours later. All I can say is; all is forgiven, as far as I'm concerned. That and he didn't piss on me.

Yeah i guess with the state giving them houses and giving theyre kids opportunities of study doesn't get ahold with the fact that they trash and sell the houses and do not let the kids go beyond 4th grade. That and the payment the state gives them for food and child support also doesn't get well togheter of them keeping and steal food at the markets and steal people for whatever they have...

But you know... they have all the right to be violent and give a stab here and there... even though they are treated has kings...

We were talking and stuff, was all good. Then we turn around and we see it.

What's so wrong with that? Is it because they're young? Do you know that it was commonplace for marriage at like 13-15 in most cultures not THAT long ago right? I mean in our human society since our existence as "HomoSapiens" our reliance on the cultural norms and social prejudices that are mostly commonplace nowadays has been but a blink of an eye, hell we as a race haven't had such a hardon for ageism for a long long time just recently...

So rather than a massive culture shock, take it as an eye opener, some people choose to live their lives differently... And why should they be freaking out? They obviously CHOSE to have children with their wives, and as such they probably see nothing scary about the situation.

That aside, the worst thing I've seen on a bus...
Probably this one fat guy who quite obviously had... difficulties to say the least, dunno why, but he sat down in the seat 3 down from me... and I mean, I'm a guy, I sometimes forget to shower for a bit or fart and it smells bad, but this guy I swear burned out my nose, I couldn't smell anything else even after i got off the bus and walked home and cooked something that normally would have smelled fragrant and awesome, couldn't smell it at all... nose wouldn't work... that's not all though, guy was constantly muttering obscenities(leaving me with the distinct impression that he had difficulties as previously stated)... not saying he doesn't have the right to use public transit, just wished he'd at least have hosed himself down with some fabreeze or something to kill the odour, it was like some mix of dead animal and human waste, mixed in with rotting overripe fruit and vomit... if I ever smell something worse I'll be sure to mention it or something or document it as the worst smelling thing on earth...

Edit: As for where it happens...I don't know how most people do it, but the kids on my bus would just...the girl would wear a skirt and pull her panties down, then sit on the boy's lap with his zipper open. And they'd just kind of...hip thrust? I didn't really pay that much attention. At least...I tried not to.
