Feel free to use it.
Really?InterAirplay said:"thick skins" is an undrstatement. "Skins the strength of a Rhino King's hide" would be nearer the mark.Agayek said:Welcome to the Internet. Those with thin skins do not last long.

Ha ha please don't get our dry wit confused with just being rude. it is similar I know and are sarcasm is a lot more understated than a lot of places i have been but we are not All BNP supporting nut jobs. But I agree we come across less friendly than in a lot of places.Goldeneye103X2 said:(face palm). In my experience of living in England for the past five years, English people tend to be easily more hostile than other countries. There are some nice English people, but they're quite hard to find amidst the patriotic xenophobes.

If I had to guess why, I'd say it's the fact that dedicated servers are generally well moderated, whereas Xbox Live and the PSN are barely moderated at all. People tend to be a bit calmer when you can get kicked out of the game for being an asshole, and if they aren't, well, they get banned, and the other players still don't have to deal with them.

OT: Psn can get pretty bad at times
I never understood hate like that, I just dont have it in me to hate a group for something as stupid as nationality, its like hating someone based on skin color or something retarded like thatShiny Koi said:I'm in Australia and I haven't really encountered much here. The American/UK/European thing is natural. If you're American, you're hated. Virtually every non-American country hates America, and by extension, all of it's citizens. It took me years of untraining to get over it myself (I am of European descent), and I still get a visceral anti-American urge every now and then, but I know it's misplaced. When I actually travelled there, I was taken aback at how polite and friendly most people were.
I'm also lucky on PSN as well then and I did play COD. Not huge amounts but well over 30 odd hours on multi and not once did I experience any trash talking or nasty insults. The kids that were there got muted more for the high pitched whiny voices than anything. Several of them were really quite well spoken.VMK1991 said:I don't know, I think it depends on the game: maybe I am just lucky, but when I play fightings on my PS3, or play TF2, I don't hear/read anything too offensive. Sure sometimes there are some random guys who say/send dirt and you can ALWAYS hear something like: "Holy shit, we are being had!", but thats managable and sometimes helps the mood.
Never played CoD, so it's just theory of mine.
