I have "non-regional diction," which is a fancy linguistic way of saying that I don't really have one. It's highly desirable in any field that involves public speaking, and had probably already helped me land one job. One good thing to come out of being born in the American Midwest, I suppose.

Well, I'm from Australia, so we tend to speak fast and in a nasally way. We also use words like mate way too much than is good for us, and make endless jokes about the thick Kiwi accents from our neighbours across the Tasman Sea. Ahhh the comedic potential of New Zealand accents... endless!

I have a central American accent. Having traveled up and down the east coast, Texas, and the upper midwest, I have concluded I have an incredibly neutral accent. They all say I don't have an accent of any kind. I know I have one, so it's apparently hard to notice.
Pretty much this. By central American I think he and I mean the accent us in the middle of the country have, Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming, etc.

Although I wish I had an Irish or Scottish accent, I love those accents so much!

I'm from the east coast of Canada ( I live in Halifax, NS, but I'm from New Waterford,NS(small town in Cape Breton NS) ), but I apparently don't' have much of an accent at all, I'm not sure if it's because I work with a lot of tourists in my day to day life or its the amount of TV I watch, but my English is very "neutral" apparently... although I'm very thankful for that because in my small towns... we're basically known for our "accents" ( here's the best thing I could find from my hometown ... some kids making a video ... how they speak is as clear as day to me but I am so thankful I don't speak like that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dhZmJ2jD8I&feature=related )

I like to call it the "stereotypical Californian, male, white, douche bag" accent. Whether or not I am a douche bag is still boggling my mind.

I'm not sure what kind of an accent I have, everyone around my hometown seems to speak in really neutral english, actually. In fact, the only time one ever hears a really promenant accent is when someone from out of town comes around, which is mostly Newfies. Pretty boring, to tell the truth.

Although I have been working on a Scottish accent to spice up my speech a little... It hasn't been going well so far.

I'm pretty sure that the Pacific northwestern accent is widely considered by most of the world to be the most neutral and bland accent.

World consensus and all...

Even though I am a girl from Illinois and have only been living in Georgia for about 8 years, I have a thick southern accent that comes out from time to time. It will appear randomly and then when someone says something about it, i can't get rid of it.
