I found it completely ok to be a fan of both...then again, I always liked Megadeth more.

These Four Walls by We Were Promised Jetpacks, its such a great album. Seriously, go look up Thunder and Lighting and Ships With Holes Will Sink.

Pearl Jam's Ten - the strongest debut by any from the grunge era in my view.

Goldfrapp's Felt Mountain - quite an impressive electronic/trip hop album in its own right, but very accomplished when you consider its a debut.
