does nitroclycerin count?
That's a molecule, not an element. So no.

My favorite element is carbon, because I EATZ IT! All other elements are but mere condiments on the delicious carbon-based foodstuffs you eat every day.

I guess then hydrogen has to be my second favorite. Yummy.
but but but.....it goes splodey!

While I'm partial to Fire, pretty much anything except Heart would work for me.

...Oh. Wrong type of element.

I personally like oxygen. It's great for breathing, drinking, and most importantly, it is the crucial ingredient in the miraculous, stain-fighting cleaner Oxyclean.

heh heh, but in all seriousness, my faved element would probably be mercury
Only the first letter of the symbol are capitalized; you would have gotten this wrong on a test. My favorite on the other hand is Krypton.

Francium, try to guess why.
Because you are partial to elements named after European currency?

I'm quite partial to all alkali metals, but I do enjoy Caesium/Cesium. Because it's quite powerful and because there's actually enough of it in the world to test it's explosiveness :D Wohoo Brainiac.

Yeah, that's great. You ever hear of Johnny Storm? As in, the Human Torch?

Not only does he get attention from the ladies, he's actually useful in a fight.

EDIT: There's a reason the Element Skateboards logo doesn't have Heart in it.

Storm's got nothing on me when it comes to the ladies. Sure he might beat me in a one-on-one fight but dude, my pick-up line consists of one word and works every time. Let's see Johnny the flaming homosexual do better than that.

Yeah I know, only problem is there isn't enough of it to really extensively test and the half life is like 5 minutes or something ridiculous so it's pretty tough to get a good sample.

Nitrogen and Phosphorous. Appropriate mixes with damn near anything induces explosions and/or health. They're the basis of both sides of gaming!

Californium or Lawrencium. Californium because it can find water and oil and is named after my state. Lawrencium because my mother worked at the lab that shares the same name where it was discovered, and it absolutely useless.

Francium. Stick in water and.....KABOOOOM!

here's an example of its younger brother Cesium, and its reaction with water.

now that was a tiny bit and the reaction gets bigger as you go down the table. When you reach francium...except no ones been able to cobble much together to waste it chucking in water...

Francium, because it's so ironic.
Francium has the lowest electronegativity of all elements, so it's weaker in covalent bonds.
Get it? The French element is weak? LAAAAWL.
If it had a law elctronegativity, wouldn't that mean that it would never, ever, form covalent bonds?

And for me it's Flourine, Uranium, Carbon and potassium :p (did anyone see what I did there?)
